A great, positive look at life as a new big brother!
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
A book for big brothers when they wait for a baby. The baby in this is a girl, but it didn't make a difference to my child. It is one of the few big sibling books that covers the frustration of a new baby in a positive way, without giving them ideas of things to be upset about. My favorite part is when big brother shows off his new baby to his friends and they think he's very lucky. Perfect. It was an instant win for me because my preschoolers never thought about how cool he would be after the baby arrived.

Great book for older toddlers
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
I bought this book for my baby who is going to be a big brother. I found this book on a recommended list for younger children because I was having a hard time finding books that suited his age group. I decided to purchase it because of the price and the fact that I had fond memories of Little Critter books. It is a good book for explaining the concept of a new baby in the house, but I think it is better suited for a child a little older than my son. It could be for a 2 12 to 3 year old. I'm a Big Brother is the most helpful book we have found for him.

Helped my 2yr old!
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
I was worried about our son when we were expecting child #2. I didn't want his new sibling's arrival to catch him off-guard because we've been through a lot lately. Since he's in the mine! The phase is over. He didn't seem interested when I told him that he was going to be a big brother. I got this book. He loves the things you can do with a new baby, he laughs at the pictures and calls the baby by his sister's name. He can connect that a baby is on the way.

Really good for explaining what to do with a newborn
Derived From Web , May 19, 2021
This book is great for anticipating a new one. The other books are not as good as this one. I like the way it describes what a bigger sibling should and shouldn't do with a newborn. When his baby sister arrives, my toddler will say what he will do. It is quite cute.

cute book for little kids who will have new sibling soon
Derived From Web , Apr 2, 2021
My children love this book. We are having another baby soon and they want me to read it before I sleep. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that the cover of my book is backwards. To start the book, I open the back cover upside down.

Sweet and positive
Derived From Web , Jul 23, 2020
My child loves this book. It is simple and adorable. I have read one or the best. I think it has been a good way for him to be introduced to some of the positives about the baby coming. He will tell me that he can rock the baby to sleep. It addresses that there are only certain things you can do with a baby, but always keeps it positive. Is it long? No. Is it going to show the realities of a baby? No. It is still very sweet and I have enjoyed reading it.

teaches the truth about newborns!
Derived From Web , May 27, 2020
The book tells the truth about a newborn. The older sibling tries to make the baby laugh and play with it. In reality, there are other things you can do with the baby like cuddle, go on walks and tickle. Setting expectations with older siblings can be accomplished with this book. My 4 year old liked it and we will read it until the baby arrives.

Lovely book to add to our collection!
Derived From Web , Feb 8, 2020
When his sister was close to being born, I knew this was a must have. I think it is geared toward 1 12 year olds. The short story is about the simplicity of a baby and what you can do with one. I am very happy that I got it. If you are looking for more new baby material, I would recommend the New Baby book by the Berenstein's. The book is longer and may be better for a sibling older than 2.

22 mo old daughter loves it!
Derived From Web , May 18, 2019
I got this for my daughter because I'm expecting in a couple of months and she loves it. She will have me read the story over and over to her because it is simple. It's easy to make it interactive and fun because she is interested in babies. Managing expectations of what a baby will be like and how they can interact with the new baby is something I love. We got it a couple of weeks ago and she is already telling the story to us. It's worth trying it out for the price.
