   Good book for potty training
At least, if it was good for my 2 year old, it was good for my 2. We read the story to her and then when she got her own potty chair, she wanted to read the story while she went to the potty. She enjoys the illustrations.

I think this is my 2 year old's favorite book about the potty
I think that this is my favorite book from the 2 year old about Potty. The only thing I don 't like are the lines on the first page about how he is a big boy because he wears underwear and his sister is a baby because she wears diapers. My daughter is still in diapers and sees herself as a big girl. I adapted this sentence some to take the part about the sister being a baby. in general, good book.

Teaches Accidents Will Happen When Potty Training
We are just beginning to introduce the idea of potty training to our almost two year old daughter. I decided to get her a few story books because she loves story time. This book has really fun pictures like all Little Critter books and I like how it is relatable to our situation. Just like Little Critter's sister, D likes to sit on her potty and would take it everywhere if I let her!! I really like that the story includes mistakes to help our daughter learn that mistakes are okay. When I showed my mom all the potty books I bought for D, my mom said this was the same potty book I had as a kid!

Cute, but wish I could have previewed it before buying it.
We decided not to use a potty when we potty train, and this book presents this as the family's method of choice. If I had known that, I would not have bought it. I don 't have strong feelings on the subject, it is just inconsistent with our plan, so it is not as useful to us as a subtle teaching tool, as it would have been if we had planned to use the small potty. If that is your plan, then this is a great book to subtly normalize the potty.

   Perfect Potty Book
Granddaughter loves her some Little Critter and this was the book that finally got her attention on using the potty. The storyline is very well done starting with the purchase of Potty to finally using it. I highly recommend this book to add to the Little Critter collection.

   Better suited for older sibling
At the end of the book, he says a better suited book for an older sibling whose younger sibling is potty training, but I am kinda disappointed in this. At the end of the book, he says, his mom says, Little Sister is a big girl, but I still thinks and acts like a baby, which I think is very counter-intuitive.

Teaching how to be rude, not how to be excited about the potty
We were excited about a little book for our toddler, but really didn 't like the disparaging comments and behavior towards the potty sister. This isn 't something we want to promote in our house.

   Not a very encouraging read.
We are now training our daughter Potty and bought this book to help her grow up. In my opinion, this book is not encouraging! It is from the perspective of the elder brother, who is Potty - trained, and he talks about her smelling bad because she goes in her diaper, then calls her a baby for not knowing how to use her potty, etc. My husband and I have read the book, looking at each other the whole time like we are not reading this book again. It may be an acceptable book for the older brother whose baby sister is learning to use the potty, but not a very encouraging read for the little girl who is learning to use the potty. It goes back!

Cute book with great pictures but long for toddlers
My toddler loves Little Critter, so I bought this book when I started Potty training her at 18 months old. The book is a little long for a toddler, but I made my own shortened dialogue. The pictures are practical and great. This book did not do any magic in terms of potty training, but it helped relieve my anxiety as a toddler. I now have the book in the bathroom, so that I can give it to her when she wants to go. Just so the parents know, Little Sister gets accustomed to the potty before actually using it. She eats on it to watch tv, sits her lunch and her doll also sits on it as well. If you don 't want to do this kid, this book may not be for you.
