Nice for introducing kindergarten.

It was a present from a friend's daughter. She will be going to kindergarten this fall and I think this book is a cute way to introduce the concept of getting ready for kindergarten.

The little guy loved it!
Derived From Web , Oct 16, 2021
Working with this group and having a grandson getting ready for his first year of kindergarten, I found this book to hit the topics that some families may not think of. It's a big event in their lives and this story takes them down to what may happen and what their feelings may be. After reading the story to him, we went through it one by one, talking about what may or may not happen. Definitely worth the time we spent together. nan

Don’t waste your Money!!
Derived From Web , Aug 31, 2021
Don't waste your Money on a book that was so bad, I am going to return it! Kindergarten should be fun and there is no way we as parents should let our kids know we are sad instilling fear and not want to go to kindergarten, she said.

Out of Date Content
Derived From Web , Aug 28, 2021
I love this series, but this particular one is a little out of date - most schools don't let parents walk their kids to the classroom anymore, and that is a major part of the book.

Wouldn’t recommend

This is a great series of books, but not good for the current climate of the pandemic. Not realistic view of school today.

Great book!

I've started a collection of these by Natasha Wing and we always read them on the night before! This one about kindergarten had me a little teary eyed about my baby going to big girl school, but we enjoyed reading it together the night before. Good memories. She will day read that book to her kid before school.

Pages not cut properly

We had saved this book until her first birthday, when she was almost 4. She tried to read the book to her, but the pages were not cut on the bottom.

This book was absolutely perfect to read to my son the night before, including the entire process of packing his bookbag to the time he was to go to school the next day. Definitely recommend.

Focuses on sad parents, not excited kindergartners!
Derived From Web , Aug 28, 2018
I bought this book for my son because it was his first book. It sounded like it would get him excited for the big day, Beckham said. The book is a sad indictment of the parents of the children. It also establishes the precedent that parents will be allowed to stay during their first day and watch their children, which is not allowed. Even though the book deals with the emotional well-being of a child, it makes kids anxious that their parents are crying without them.
