Book Overview

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in this installment of Natasha Wing's best-selling series, a fun read-aloud sure to keep kids engaged and laughing out loud

It's the night before St. Patrick's Day, and Tim and Maureen are wide awake setting traps to catch a leprechaun When they wake the next morning to the sound of their dad playing the bagpipes and the smell of their mom cooking green eggs, they're shocked to find that they've actually caught a leprechaun. But will they be able to find his pot of gold? Natasha Wing's sweet story is once again told in verse to the same meter of Clement Moore's classic.

   Sneaky little leprechaun
This book has been loved! My three year old and I learned about Leprechauns and built our own trap for St. Patrick's Day. This was the perfect book to go with it! Colorful illustrations, Great New Story and cute new ideas for traps, as well as a bit of folklore. The trick at the end of the story was great!!! leprechaun is a sneaky little leprechaun.

   History kids should know
This book is sent along with 2 other books on Saint Patrick so that they will have some ideas of our Irish heritage. All I can say is that they love to have someone read books to them so that they liked it for Easter. I will do an update later if I get some feedback.

   cute story
If you know someone with Irish children who are young, this book is a hoot. Was given to a newborn baby as a gift. I gave three books that cover St. Patrick's Day stories and information from birth to about third grade.

The Night Before St Patrick's Day book
I ordered the book that was received the night before St Patrick's Day, The Night Before St Patrick's Day. The back of the book was covered with what would appear as a crusty green substance. I think this can be wiped off as I give it to a 3 year old child, but still disappointed that it arrived in this condition. The above rating reflects the book's condition, not the book itself.

LOL, guess this story scared my granddaughter
LOL, guess that story scared my granddaughter. I thought it was a cute story, but my 6 year old granddaughter was scared and came to her parents - bed holding her piggy bank, thinking that the Leprechaun was going to steal her money. LOL KIDS, active imagination.

   simple rhyming, sweet!
I loved reading this to my classes in the library, I loved reading it to my students! The story is written in rhyme and the children delighted to pick the tiny leprechaun on nearly every page of the story. A simple short book, good for ages 4-7. I had a child say : Oh, now that was a good one! '' At the end! at the end! Loved it! Loved It! ''

Excellent book for children on St Patrick's Day
My mother and I looked through the book before giving to twin boys,my nephews. At the time, they were 3-4. St Patrick's Day is great for St Patrick's Day. Nice colorful pictures, easy to read turn pages and the story is great for them. I didn 't see them in the last 5 years because of some evil people targeting me, so I hope I can see them again someday.
