No macros provided next to recipes
Overall, the recipes looked pretty good, too. Some of the cookbooks aimed at athletes make use of supplements which kind of defeats the purpose for me, he said. However, macros are incredibly important to have right there with the recipe. The author decided not to include macros next to the recipes and instead points you to his website in order to find that information. The whole idea is to have everything in one place, so you don't have to go back to the drawing board. Macros affect in large part how you decide what to make, and not including them conveniently destroys this cookbook for me.

... a few of the meals from the book—they were pretty good. Better than several plant based diet cookbooks ...
Made a few of the meals from the book, too, said Mr. D'Antonio. I've bought several plant-based diet books.

   Don’t buy kindle version!!!
The kindle edition of this book is useless. There is no section, chapter, or index that will help you find recipes, except to flip through every page.

   Informative but unusual flavor profiles
I really like the idea of this book, and the foreword is a really great intro to vegan eating and cooking, but a lot of the meals are complicated and the flavors of a lot of the recipes just aren't my taste. So far, I have enjoyed making about 40% of the recipes I have listed in the book.

   Great cookbook with normal ingredients!
It's great to have such a great cookbook. It has tons of great recipes with "normal" ingredients that most people actually keep on hand. Easy and quick to prepare, plus the recipes are pretty easy to follow which is great for my active lifestyle when I don't have hours to spend in the kitchen. It has lots of photos of the foods, too. For me, that is a big thing in a cookbook when I see a photo and it looks amazing, if course it makes me want to cook it more. I bought 3 vegan cookbooks so far and this one is by far my favorite, so I highly recommend it to anyone.

   Tailored for meal prep.
Good food but not simple at all, Mr. D'Antonio said. It calls for overnight soaking or using a sauce from the book which takes extra time. It is in no way shape or form a simple meal unless you modify and skip the sauce or spice, but then again, where's the flavor? If you want to make food when you are hungry, this is a maddening book. It's more for meal prep, planned out days in advance, he said.

No nutritional value after recipe, not like the older version.
The other version I liked was that it gave the nutritional value after the recipe. Also, i.e., prefer the organization of the other book by the same author, seemed less cluttered.

Watch What The Health and Buy this Book. Then feel great!!
I'm a big fan of the no meat athlete and this book did not disappoint. Thanks for the tip. Must buy for vegans or anyone transitioning to veganism. We don't need meat, plant or animal products, Paleo says. He said he was cured of his illness with a meat-free diet. Billions of animals are tortured and killed for this unhealthful habit. Berkshire Hathaway made profits of $1.7 billion last year alone. It's unethical and unnecessary, Grassley said. What's more, you can watch the entire thing on HBO. It feels good to be back home, Tunick said.

   Big on Easy, Plant-Based Meals
I have followed Matt and his team for over 4 years. It was such a joy to see his book come to fruition, Melissa said. Thanks for the great recipes!!!!!!!!! Thanks again for a great addition to my Plant Based Book Shelf!

   Not a runner
I'm not a runner, but this book inspired me to switch over to a plant-based diet. The thing that surprised me most was how much extra energy I now have, Dr. Goin added. I thought that I would be hungry after eating such meals, but now a salad made simply with greens and beans keeps me going for hours! Thanks again, Matt!
