My son doesn't have a lot of experience taking timed tests. The book helped him understand how to work with timed tests and find the strategy that worked for him. The book had some great tips. I would recommend it as a tool to help with the prep for the test.

Terrible Prep Book

I've never seen a prep guide book written as poorly as this one. Kids need concise information, precipitated concepts, and clarity to be able to perform at their best on this test. The 1200 page prep book is simply overwhelming with long, convoluted, meandering analyses of what should be a succinct test answer choice guide. The practice tests are useful for establishing the basics, but they are broken up by breakdowns of each and every answer to each question. The book doesn't give the test taker the chance to lay out the concepts necessary to the test in favor of exclusive, lengthy evaluations of each and every one of the questions posed in their practice tests. Would not recommend.

It's a big and heavy book!

I'm very excited to have this book because it gives me a lot of links to research materials that I can use to refresh my knowledge and pass the test. After you flip the book open, there's a PIN that you need to use. The book doesn't give the actual studying material because it is a prep guide to pass a test. The Khanacademy is one of the resources for studying. e-book format is okay if a book is about 300 pages and is for entertainment purposes. If the book has more than 500 pages and is schience-ish, then the printed version is the best medium the world can offer today. They are printed in a format that is easy to read.

4 of the 5 practice tests are identical to the tests in the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 books

The tests in this book are the same as the books in the previous two years, so I'm hoping to get more practice for my students. Why keep repeating in every book when you have hundreds of tests to choose from? Changing the cover and acting like the most recent version of the test is false advertising. Will not be using them again.

The practice questions will not be displayed in the app. It's useless on a laptop. The Kindle version is not for sale. It's total waste of money.

I was short on my first attempt at the exam. I had another book. I improved my score by 3 points by taking a few practice tests in this book a week before the test. Highly recommend!

The ONLY Prep book students should use

I have been teaching for 10 years. The only book students should use is this one. Other publications don't pay attention to detail, like running tests over onto 2 pages, back and front, making it more difficult. The study material doesn't match the actual test because they don't always have content taken from it.
