   What A Refreshingly Excellent Story!
I decided to read a few of the books to see if they were appropriate for my grand daughter. The Penderwick family is so captivating to me. The four sisters and their dad are likable and fully developed. I devoured two of the adventures that were fast paced and richly conceived. All of them will be read with pleasure. The life of a family whose mother died of cancer is chronicled in each book. I am sure my grand daughter will enjoy them as well.

   I love it!!!
I adore the penderwicks. She is kind, loving, and responsible. She is an awesome at math. Jane is a creative and queer child. Batty is 4 years old and is cute. The series was charming and fun. The character that I like the most is Skye. I don't like math. I love the Penderwick books, as I said. Five stars! Don't listen to the other reviewers who say that it's not good. It was worth the money. I hope I did something to help. It was!

My 8 year old daughter is too young for the complex family environment of the penderwick family and Jeffrey's family, but she loved the kids relationship and meaningful friendship of the book. Cagney and the older sister relationship had to be explained to an 8 yr old. There is a good book for young people. She's excited to read the follow up books since we already talked about her relationships. It's easy for 4 th grade...

I am 12 years old and still like this book. When I was 4, my mom read the series to me. I hope everyone thought that this book was funny. I hope you are happy now that this book is even better than Harry Potter. I hope she comes out with another book soon. Love, The penderwicks fan.

   Captivating, humorous, and real life issues
The Penderwick series by Birdsall is very popular with our family. She is gifted with humor and real life issues. I was worried my boys wouldn't be interested in a story about girls. During family reading time, my concerns were easily dismissed and each family member is enamored with this family.

As good as the first book. Jeanne birdsall does a great job portraying family and sisters. Each character has their own personality, and we also get to meet several new and equally good characters, as well as one with a not so good intention.
