Book Overview

When Pigeon finds a delicious hot dog, he can hardly wait to shove the entire thing in his beak. But . . . then a very sly and hungry duckling enters the scene and wants a bite. Who will be the more clever bird?
In this hilarious follow-up to the acclaimed Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus Mo Willems has created another avian adventure that encourages children to share even their most prized processed foods.
Mo Willems is a six-time Emmy Award-winning writer and animator for Sesame Street and the head writer of Cartoon Network's Code Name: Kids Next Door. The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog is the companion to Mo's first children's book, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus He is also the author of Time to Pee .

   Mo knows his audience.
It's just that he wants something more. Whereas the reader interacts with the Pigeon by saying, "No," the Pigeon instead interacts with Special Guest Star, "Duckling." Rather than a book, the result is a quicker read and with the limited words per page, it's still enjoyable for the toddler with a short attention span. I completely credit this book for my 2 1/2 year old son's newfound love of hot dogs, and I also like the central message of this book one should share. If you're a fan of the series, you'll probably enjoy this book. Don't let the Pigeon Drive the Bus get you down!

   Great Addition to Pigeon Collection
I just love these books, so much. My daughter fell in love with a hot dog. This book is a quick and witty bedtime read. We also have Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus and Don't Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late, Mr. Dhaliwal said. I will be buying all the books in the series.

   Great book!
Mo Willems' books are also very good. The Pigeon books are by far the best. Both my kids loved them when they were little.

   VERY BORING BOOK FOR CHILDREN
This book is really boring, Christina said. They were all so bored, even though the illustrations were good, said the writer's mom. I thought this story was not engaging at all, Garton said.

   Hysterical
One-eyed pigeons are so expressive, I have no idea. Even the most basic drawings convey so many emotions. It's just that we make them giggle. It's great to be back home, said Blair. "This series is definitely our household favorite.

   Great buy for early readers
She recognizes letters, easy words and even pigeons' attitude which she mimics.

   Book arrived dirty
The book is also available in English. The book came clean. It looked like something had spilled on it, the source said. I was going to give the book as a present, but the cover was so dirty I couldn't do it.

   A Favorite by Mo Willems
Parents and teachers will out loud alongside their children and laugh as they read about a pigeon just trying to enjoy his hot dog, but someone needs more details about this so-called "hot dog!"
