   NOT THE COMPLETE VERSION
I love this book, it is a classic and well worth the read whether you consider yourself a Christian or not, so when I saw this version for 99, including the audio narration, I was thrilled and purchased it right away. Had I known I was getting a much less meaningful version of the book, I would never have purchased it, Elizabeth Gilbert wrote.

   Pilgrim's Progress,
This is about the fourth time I have read this book. One of my childhood favorites. In "The Two Brothers," you have to see them in two catagories. It's just that we humans are drawn to spiritual things. The progress of a Christian life is measured in the seasons of Lent and Jubilee. You go through many trials and tribulations. Such depictions of the dead are often called "redicule." sufferant. You may associate with many individuals, but not all. But when you fall in the mire, get up and start again, he said. I really love this book, it's a good pickerupper.

   Great Book!!
I read this many years ago in a book. It's a terrible night's stand, I think. The book was first published as a reprint in 1896. Don't waste your time reading it in any form, but the original English. It is, in effect, a book that only translators and retouchers can improve.

... older fantasy type drawings that usually appear with this great story by Bunyan
The cover picture is a welcome up-to-date addition to earlier fantasy type drawings that usually appear with this great story by Bunyan. The shaded juxtaposition of the text with the old seems a little awkward, but it is great to have the two sides together, and very helpful for comparison, he said.

   Classic book with lovely illustrations.
The book is large and easy to hold and look at while I read aloud to them from my own. The book uses the original text of Pilgrim's Progress, but does not include the sequel, or second journey, taken by Christian's wife.

   We love this book
This is the best Pilgrims Progress version of the game. We use this book for our Junior High youth groups to read through during the year. We read a chapter or two every other week, and we discuss it. The English language has undergone a great deal of modernization thanks to the re-written English.

The Desiring God version (Fwd by John Piper)
Before you place your order, make sure you know which version of the product you are ordering. Amazon will sometimes surprise you with which version you will actually get. The book was originally titled "The Desiring God Edition." It has a dark green cover and some illustration. It is not in the original English language. It is an updated and slightly revised version of the original, but it retains the character of the original. Brand new, in perfect condition, it arrived at its destination in Melbourne.

   Absolutely Wonderful
My 4th grader has an audio book reader in her classroom. Like the movies, this book was very engaging and heartfelt. Christian's experiences as a believer on the narrow road to Mecca are accurate parallels to living the modern-day journey of Christ surrounded by a plethora of temptations. The allegorical encounters with fewrs, few teachers, and many distractions are lessons that are worth discussing among believers because they are so relevant, Raymond said.

Influential book in the course of religious thinking
There was a time when in the English speaking world, including the English colonies in North America, people spoke a language that was widely recognized and loved. If one owned 2 books one would have been the Bible and the other would have been Pilgrim's Progress. It was originally intended for wide distribution in its time, in forms affordable for many people at the time. What did it say to those that read it? There are notes that come with this edition but I felt it would be helpful if they were further developed as there are several references that require more background research, making it less likely that a reader will have to refer to additional books.

   Excellent book
John Bunyan's story is a wonderful parable of the mind. It took discipline and effort on my part to read the book. But I enjoyed and was uplifted by the story, Graham said. I would like to read this book and take the time to look up all the Scriptures.
