Great for Sport Fan Boys or anyone coming of age
Read all his books for boys coming of age. Each year we publish his books as they are purchased. I now give sports as gifts to other boys involved.

   Great book, poorly produced
I bought this book for my son for Christmas. The colors, quotes, and photos are really quite inspirational... my 11 year old daughter has already “called ” seconds, so that she can read this book when my son is finished... sadly, the book was printed upside down.

My son had to read this book for his middle school over the summer. I love to use sports with everyday analogy and it is something they can relate to. I am a struggling reader, so I hope this peaks his interest.

   Kwame Alexander is Everything
Kwame Alexander is a positive force in children's literature and young adult literature. He goes wherever he advocates for literacy for all. This makes me want to buy everything he writes alone. Here is a self-help book for children! This book will inspire young readers through personal narratives, stories of famous athletes, photographs and quotations. It makes clear that dreams require work and dedication to bear fruit. The page count is a good deceptive, in a small way. Kids feel good about carrying a book with some heft, but font size, white space and photographs help keep the stories moving at a quick clip. His sense of humor and ability to be self-satisfied as well as self-deprecating appeal to readers of all ages.
