My granddaughter loves this series

I have an 11 year old granddaughter who reads at about a 3rd-4th grade level. It is hard to find books that are easy to read for her to find, but not too immature for her. She really loved the first in the series and has asked one by one to order another.

Great book, part of a series.
Derived From Web , Jul 18, 2020
Great scientific concepts and experiment methods are involved. Family, gender and race underlying messages are very positive. Girl of color transforms scientific things into beautiful things. Both my 3 year old granddaughter and my 10 year old grandson loved having this read to them. Each book has a glossary at the end, which reinforces the meanings of scientific words and new terms. Finally, I hope there are more books in the series than the 7 books I have now.

Another vibrant story about problem-solving featuring one of our favorite fictional characters
Derived From Web , Jun 28, 2018
A few weeks ago we finally got around to reading this book and I think my children liked it as much as I did. What I liked the best about it was how the author took us through the trial and error of Zoe's experiment in a fun way. My children enjoyed the characters and seeing a normal child as an effective problem solver. When we read Zoe and Sassafras, they always ask for experiments, but after reading the latest book in the series, they really wanted to garden and see things grow.
