   A must read for leaders.
The book was also a New York Times bestseller. The concept of being a positive leader is a critical key to effective leadership, he said. Jon writes the introduction to the book in a spiral-bound notebook. Jon's had amazing success using these principles in business as a consultant to coaches, corporations and non-profits.

No actual exercises or strategies provided. Just hyperbole.
The book tells you exactly what you need but doesn't give you exercises or strategies to deploy it. Don't buy it. The author does not name his clients. He writes about how they win because they built up their culture but doesn't provide the how behind the culture building. This writer, for example, used some common sense buzz words together with little or no valuable and useable content.

   waste of money!
I purchased this book because the reviews said it was recommended by Amazon. com. Simply put, it tells you to create a positive culture and stick to it. It does not teach HOW to do anything, just tells you to do it. If I knew how to read, I would not have needed the book. This book is simply a cheerleader that is it. There is no clear path to the goal. The rest is just wasted money.

Happy to have found Jon Gordon’s books!
I liked the book enough to log on to Amazon and send a copy to a friend when I was half way through. It's important to understand what it means to be a positive leader, Coach Mepham said. Jon does a wonderful job of capturing the essence of positive leadership with easy to remember lessons told alongside enjoyable real life narratives, often with examples of people he has helped, he said. I came across Jon's books while casually looking for good material to help create a company culture for my business. Even though he has a book out, I was not sure how helpful it would be to his business. I've been hooked! From Jon to Ryan H., to the manager of my apartment complex to me, his positive messages continue to trickle forward with enthusiasm. Thanks to Jon for the tip.

The literature of leadership has an answer to the band Boston, and its Jon Gordon. That's a good thing, mostly
A colleague who also teaches leadership said offhandedly the other day that if you've read one John Maxwell book you've pretty much read them all, and he's right. It's a good book, I think, but I'm not sure whether Gordon would pay the $100,000 to $1 million for it. There are a lot of good stuff here that I will use in my coursework and in my practice as a professor at a Christian college, he said. And he repeats himself a lot here and tells a lot of stories about his other books. I want to read more of his work, but at this point he reads like the band Boston sounds -- good, familiar, well-executed and precious little variety, Reichert said.

   Challenges you to do better.
Yes, I'm reading my first Jon Gordon book. I've read dozens of leadership books, including "The Power of Persuasion" by Robert Hein. This book puts it all into a short, easy-to-read, real-life example form. It's a great read, especially for younger readers, and I found it entertaining cover-to-cover and full of real substance." I bought 15 copies and am using them for a book study. I can't wait to see how they employ it to better lead our teams and in 2018 every employee will have a word." Thanks for the great read.

Great Book for All People, not just Leaders!
Jon Gordon is a master at creating great fiction. There are so many quotes I could take out of this book and put them on my wall as inspiration! This is an easy read, packed with good insight, said Dr. Goin. I would highly recommend The Power of Positive Leadership to ANYONE, not just business leaders or coaches, said Paul LiCalsi, executive director of the YMCA's Center for Business Success. I am a stay-at-home mom and so many guidelines in this book apply to me and everyone else out there.

But, with Jon's help and encouragement, we will do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lord Voldemort is said to have told his henchmen: "There's no such thing as a free lunch."
