Bedtime Classics: charmingly illustrated board book editions of perennial favorites, simplified for the youngest readers

Bedtime Classics introduce classic works of fiction to little literary scholars through character-driven narratives and colorful illustrations. Designed to be the perfect one-minute bedtime story (or five minutes--if you're begged to read it over and over), parents can feel good about exposing their children to some of the most iconic pieces of literature while building their child's bookshelf with these trendy editions

A King and Queen invite all the princesses in the land to their palace to find a proper suitor for their son, the prince. But when an unconventional princess stumbles through the castle gates, she's put to the ultimate test. By setting a pea under a large stack of mattresses, the royal family will discover if the girl is princess material once and for all.

The illustrations are nice in this book
The illustrations are nice, but the way the book is written is not the best. It's still a cute book for my daughter, but I'm a bit conflicted about the message that only a perfect princess would be good enough for a prince.

For your Princess she will love this book
Terrific first grader, said the teacher. In "The Princess Diaries," Elizabeth Taylor's daughter, Mia, falls in love with the book.

   Really Good
We like rain, she said. Both Paislee and Kinslee, 6 and 4 years old, were transcribed by their grandpa Tom.

Just... not a good story as told
The whole thing is true to the original story, but in a bad way. Only by showing the wrong behavior of the rejected princesses was they able to show off any personality it seems like. And then the princess shows she's a true princess by having terrible manners and complaining about the comfort of her lodgings? Not very princesslike to me, she said. The story needs updating for today's ideals and to maybe teach some sort of moral illustration, which it currently does not. In fact, I strongly dislike that girls having hobbies and showing them honestly to a proposed suitor is portrayed as an awful thing. This is a terrible thing to teach your children. 0 3171616 This is a terrible thing to teach your children.

   great
My grandbabies love this book the words are small but the story is true along the lines of the original. The only complaint I have is the words are small and lighter than I thought.

A simple telling of this classic story
This is a simple, yet delightful version of the story, Mary. The illustrations are cute, and the book is not too much text.

   A Favorite, Nicely Illustrated
I've loved this fairy tale since I was a kid and so do my granddaughters. Colorful illustrations and enchanting story.

   Gift
My niece will be 1 soon and I'm collecting children's books to give her a nice library. The addition of these two really nice additions makes this one of the best games I've played.

   Love this classic!
I downloaded this one for my 9 year old son. She told him how she was like the princess and the pea because she couldn't stand to have the smallest crumb, sand or anything on her bed. The kid loved it, said Blair.

   Excellent Condition, okay book
The pictures are okay, like someone painted them with watercolors, and the story is so-so, Rowling said.
