She loves reading the jokes, but the letter practice leaves something to be desired. While the strokes are numbered, they don't break down to practice, for example, stroke one, then stroke two, then stroke three. To get to the next level, I have to use the margins. I'm realizing that I'm not thrilled with some of the styles of the letters. Personal preference aside, there is no denying that Apple's products are among the best in the business.

Engaging Little Book

In fact, my 5 year old absolutely loved it. The writer looked forward to reading the jokes each day. Made for easy work as he already had some practice writing, but needed more practice. The kid was a little bummed when he finished, but then he read every joke all over again. This book is great for helping children learn new letters, reinforcing concepts and some fun puns thrown in to entertain them.

Makes writing practice fun.

My first grader is struggling with printing but loves reading and especially loves jokes, his mom said. The writer of the letter begins by saying, "The subject of the joke is practicing." In the second book, he will be guided into writing the punch lines. He is very happy with the process so far, Garton said.

There’s Better Handwriting Books Available

The book is okay, Morgenthau said. There were several pages where the lower case "e" was printed "backwards." The writer of this terrible typo says it's all part of the "Harry Potter" series. I feel there's a lot more to be done, Mr. Kennedy said on NBC's "Meet the Press."
