Fun & Biblical!
Derived From Web , Jan 22, 2022
What a fun read is this! It is biblical, shares the gospel more than once in a repetitive way and is fun at the same time. As well, beautiful illustrations are included.

My daughter wanted to read this for a few weeks every night. They did a very good job of delivering transformational truth in a fun story format.

Well written!
Derived From Web , Aug 5, 2021
I bought this for my third birthday of my nephew. I was so impressed with how the writer and illustrator captured the truth of this story and did not hide some of the more difficult details. It presented the story, the suffering experienced by Paul and Silas, and brought such a hope-filled perspective. I can 't wait to give him this!

Pass unless you want to talk about suicide with your kids
Derived From Web , Apr 4, 2021
I 'll stay on board until they don 't find a safe and kid friendly way to tell the part about the guard who wants to kill himself. I don 't think that suicide is an appropriate topic for young children. This part could easily have been made kid friendly, but focusing on how scared the guard was, how he was worried about how much he would be in... They didn 't have to go into all the details that they did. My children have lost their father, so that death is not theoretically important to them. They first know that it happens and I don 't need to explain to a 4 -- 6 year old that some people kill themselves on purpose.

Character wants to commit suicide. Not appropriate for young kids (or any kids)
Derived From Web , Jan 20, 2021
Normally, I love these books, but this one, I was horrified when the prison guard takes his sword to take his own life. I am sensitive to this as a survivor of a parent suicide. Whether it is sensory or not, I think that is way too much to be in a children's book.

AMAZING!
Derived From Web , Jan 5, 2021
My favorite book of my daughter! The truth is told throughout the book beautifully and the phrases repeated are key! I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun and yet biblically sound book for their children. So far, all books in this series that I have read are great, but this is a fav!

Adjust for Younger audience
Derived From Web , Nov 29, 2020
I like the theme of the song throughout the book ; it caught my attention and was a good summary of the story. Beautiful artwork, as usual in this series. The jailer's particular suicide thoughts are, though, too young for my children. Thought it was a good introduction as they get older. The book ends with us telling others about Jesus, so a good meaning of life ends for the particular subject.

I love this book series, but this is a little scary for younger children. Will probably buy once my children are older.

ANOTHER GREAT TITLE FROM THE GOOD BOOK CO.
Derived From Web , Jun 24, 2020
This new title from Good Book Co. is another winner. Just $15 for 32 pages in the hardcover, it uses wonderful text and wise pictures to bring Acts 16 to life and reinforce the message about Jesus, who died so we can live forever, who sent his Holy Spirit so that we can follow him as our king. Not a one-and-done like some reed-thin good '' Christian kiddie books, this is one that littles can enjoy pore over, thanks to the generous illustrations and fun text.
