The Proof Is in the Plants: How Science Shows a Plant-Based Diet Could Save Your Life (and the Planet) is 416 pages long.
Not just about food but about doing the right thing for the planet
Derived From Web , Jan 16, 2022
We went vegan several years ago for health reasons, but seeing and reading about what animal farming does to the planet made it a no brainer to continue. This book is insightful, honest and has everything you need from recipes to background information to get started on the right path for your own health and that of the planet.

Frustratingly poorly authored
Derived From Web , Dec 15, 2021
Granted, I know the theme so little is new to me. But here are the facts : Australian data is mostly consolidated in Japanese data. Lots of research notes, but can not find them in the book. One has to go to a separate website. There are no footnotes or endnotes in the book, which is frustrating if you like to look at the reference or back-up facts quickly. Grand font and double spaced, which smacks of a children's book. Tighten it up and there is plenty of room for footnotes. A good part of the book is dedicated to the background of the author, which is not why I bought the book. He is good on podcasts and such, but his blah background adds little to the topic at hand. This book is simply a void of cash. It is not cheap. I am deeply disappointed and will use the paper to light my fireplace this winter.

Very dry, technical book

This could be clinically good reading for a biologist or a good nutritional, but not for the average reader. The customer service was plus terrible. I was unable to obtain the requested tracking information.

Awesome, evidence-based read!
Derived From Web , Aug 15, 2021
Simon has done an incredible job in creating this evidence-based resource on a more plant-centered diet. I love his neutral voice and his confidence that the evidence will prove his point. '' I have been a whole food plant for many years, but I learned so much in this read, including information about nutrients of focus as well as environmental considerations. Simon, you have an awesome job!

Simon has a ton of knowledge and experience in the field of plant-based nutrition. This book has helped me tremendously in my own plant-based business. A definite read for anyone who is plant based, wants to be plant based, or wants more knowledge about nutrition and how foods can heal your body.

Need more proof to eat more plants? Here it is
Derived From Web , May 9, 2021
A wonderful book that brings together all the science that supports a plant-based diet. Plant foods are great for you and the planet and you can read about the science that backs it up. The book promotes a mostly plant-based diet. It does not promote being vegan or vegetarian. The aim is mainly plant-based. The more, the better. The book is highly recommended. I follow the Plant Proof'' Podcast -- thanks Simon for all the wonderful work you do in sharing science.
