   Absolutely Beautiful and True!!
Pros - old poetic, so poetic and creative speaks of universal truths related to the highest teachings of all religions, sometimes difficult to understand due to its poetic language Conclusions a must read for everyone. Period. Period.

This book will bring you peace
Reading this made my mind feel like a still pool of water, cool and quiet in a mossy grotto. Its direct and simple wisdom has a depth of complexity that takes a quiet day to sink in, leaving you at peace. It is best to set time aside for it, relax, absorb and let it softly clear your mind.

The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran - A must read!
This book is my favorite! You can read over and over again. It is a book to keep permanently in your library, on the shelf. I bought my mother's when I was very young and read it as an adult. It also makes for a great gift!

   A classic book
I have long enjoyed the insights of Kahlil Gibran, as presented in the PROPHET. I had to replace my copy with someone else so that I had to borrow it. My library is not complete without a copy of this book. Gibran's philosophy and poetry will inspire you and challenge you at the same time.

   soft spot for The Prophet
As a teenager, I first read this in the early 90s as a teenager. It was my mother's copy that she never returned to her Jr High School Library in the 70s. She had a habit of making me read books as a punishment for testing my rebellious nature, followed by a book report. This was worth it, this one. It opened my eyes to a way of thinking and expression that i was just aware of at the time. My young self made sense of every principle. i recently started thinking about the books that aided my better self and this was high on the list. To my surprise, I never owned a copy. I am strategically leaving this copy laying around to see if my teenagers find it on their own, because this reading is by no means a punishment.

   As Promised—- and promising
Shipped quickly, received in excellent condition. Impressive quality at a price. Will purchase agin from this seller. Binding, paper quality and hardcover are very well done. The work is a spiritual awakening of provocative poetic sensibilities of my spiritual sensibilities. I personally do not find any religious head knocking in this deeply loving prose of a sage. I am discovering that universal truth for humanity, Love is the most powerful force in the universe and must be learned, respected, trusted and endured as well as endured. My fast read through is just not enough. I read it often and many times. The artistry of words and sketches intrigued me. I feel an unrestrained translation from Gibran..., connecting me to a life I have not experienced, but somehow understand.

   Fluff
I was terribly disappointed ''. Only the occasional spots of superficial wisdom found. The existentialismpantheism is etc. Denies the existence of evil, which I find out of alignment with the reality of our world.

Let The Table Of Contents ... Call You
Kahlil is a true mystic. I am so grateful for the wisdom he shared with us. His grace is a source of strength and tenderness from which we can all draw for the entirety of our lives. This is the first book that my father ever gave me and I don 't just cherish it because he gave it to me. I treasure it because Kahlil's words have walked with me in some of the hardest times as well as some of the brightest. This book is a true gift from God.

   I hated this.
Pretentious garbage. I could barely finish it myself, I could barely make myself finish it. It is so revered by people that I thought it would be deeply moving. The only thing I felt was deeply disappointed.

Top 3 of all time faves!
I bought this book as a replacement for the one I had given away. This is one of my favorite books of all time and truly a classic. Regardless of what religion or belief you have, this book applies and you relate to it. This is a book to read over and over the course of your lifetime and share with loved ones and also with people you think you may need to read.
