One of my favorites. Many Christians may be uncomfortable with the message of grace found in this book. What can you learn from a Jesuit priest who smokes, is alcoholic, and divorced? If you judge it that way, you' ll miss out on something. Manning's message of the beauty of grace lives on despite his death.

Read the first three chapters. This is a theology of blenders. Use scriptures out of context, throw in quotes from philosophers of the new age, and give it out as a message for the people of God. It would be better to call the book " Another Gospel".

This book is the best book I have ever read. Brennan is a master at touching the heart and instilling value into who we are. It was a wakeup call to transform when I first read this years ago. I' ve personally given out more copies of this book than any other person. God loves you just as you are.

Over the years, all the recommendations I received were correct. The book is magnificent. Some books are educational. There are books that inspire. Some books reveal. It helped me love Jesus more and know the love of Jesus more. Manning was able to get to the heart of grace and God's love with his bluntness.
