Book Overview

Ramona and Her Father

Ramona's father has lost his job, and there's a grumpy mood in the Quimby household. Ramona just wants everyone to get along, but it's hard when her mother is worried all the time, her father is grouchy, and Beezus is just . Beezus.

Ramona and Her Mother

Ramona always tries to do the right thing . so why does everything turn out so wrong? At seven and a half years old (for now), she's worried about spelling and about Willa Jean getting all the attention. Most of all, she's worried that her mother may not love her anymore.

Ramona Forever

It is a time of change for Ramona and her family. Aunt Beatrice is getting married, Ramona's father is looking for a new teaching job, and Ramona's mother suddenly seems a little thicker around the middle. Amid all the chaos, Ramona must say good-bye to one family member and hello to a new one.

Ramona's World

Ramona can't wait for school to start -- she's sure fourth grade will be the best year of her life. With a new baby sister, a new best friend, Daisy, and some glorious new calluses on her hands from the rings in the park, Ramona is on top of the world!

   Ramona is the BEST
My granddaughter's favorite read, and she started reading with her mother, and now she does a bit on her own, she said. It is impressive to our family that the writer was born in Oregon. She has a website, and I recommended a secure website for children, to my daughter, with a goal for my granddaughter to receive emails from Beverly Cleary, she said. The whole thing is a smash hit with little girls. Her German grandmother, Ethel, was in the courtroom doodling on a piece of paper.

Great for children, and adults that want to walk down memory lane
The series starts with Ramona being about 4 years old, and just shares the adventures she has with her sister Beezus, her friends, her family, her teachers, etc. The series follows a time line and is also very popular. I personally bought them because I read these during my elementary school years, and I was probably laughing harder this time around because I have finished that stage in my life! It's great to be back home, said Blair.

   fun
My daughter really enjoyed the books, said Blair. I remember reading them when I was 8 or 9 years old. Classics are always good.

   Great read!
Very intertainable, Mr. Harrison said. Note the following: I recommend all Beverly Clearly books for children.

   Great set, great books
They hooked my daughter, too, because I'm a huge Calvin Klein fan. She read them all in record time, starting with the first Ramona boxed set. The new series has updated illustrations to make it more visually attractive for today's kids. They also lament that TV comedies are "often played with a pinch of realism."

   Still loved!
As a child, I loved these stories and read them to my children as well. My son read all of them to my granddaughter, and she absolutely loved them all. Since then they have read all the Henry Huggins books, and started to read Ralph S. Mouse. Her favorite character is Ramona. One of the greats of children's literature, Beverly Cleary. She leaves behind a legacy of children's literature that generations of readers will treasure.

True to Life Reading with Ramona!
Raginette Quimby and George Michael are the stars of this sex tape. I read all of these as a kid, and I am revisiting them with my five-year-old son. It's great to be back home, Ramona said. A new book about Robert De Niro's life will be released next month.

   Poor quality paper
There are colorful covers that lead you to believe it will continue to pictures. No color pictures are included in the story.

Books kids will love to read
My child has a love of these books and they have been a round for a long time. They are all very funny and interesting, Simon said.

   Loved it so much
I've always tried to find books that I will enjoy reading as much as the kids enjoy listening, and this certainly fits the bill. I read this whole series aloud to my 3rd and 4th graders, and they LOVED it. We all know how great it is to laugh and cry over a book you're sharing. It was bittersweet to say goodbye to such a great series.
