Book Overview

Mona Lisa St. James made a deathbed promise that she would do anything to save her mother's art gallery. Unfortunately, not only is The Red painted red, but it's in the red.

Just as she realizes she has no choice but to sell it, a mysterious man comes in after closing time and makes her an offer: He will save The Red if she agrees to submit to him for the period of one year.

The man is handsome, English, and terribly tempting.but surely her mother didn't mean for Mona to sell herself to a stranger. Then again, she did promise to do anything to save The Red.

   I have no words…..
Was I just reading? Even though I have no experience with acid trips, it was still a bad one and I know I am not touching it. I couldn't finish it without finishing it because I was almost halfway done and they say " in for a penny in for a pound" I hope this is the last book like this by this author because I won't be able to read anything else like that. The actual intimate scenes were steamy. The big male appendages are included. This was the worst book I have ever read and I have read more books that I can recount.

There are better erotica authors out there
I thought I'd give it a try after getting this as a deal. Do not waste your time. At times the plot was laughable. The story had a lot of potential. Not so much in Ms. Reisz's hands. The idea of a ghost lover really made the story all the more absurd because she repeats the same words in nearly every scenario. It's unbelievable thatMona can do things with no training or practice. It just went downhill, there were so many ways it could have gone. I only spent 99 cents.

   Wow, what fun!
The bills are piling up, business is low, and she doesn't know how to fulfill her promise to keep her art gallery running. A handsome stranger is making extravagant financial promises in exchange for a woman. It sounds like a good thing to be true. She is tempted by sexual desire. This is the first book I' ve read by Reisz and it is very dark and fantastic. The ending of the novella was really satisfying and I was not sure where the story would end up. There is a mist of unreality over the everyday world that Mona is in. Can't wait to see more of the author's work.

The Erotic Adventures of Mona and Malcolm
I liked The Red. It reminded me of the Sleeping Beauty trilogy by Ann Rice. It is a fairy tale about a woman who made a deathbed promise to her mother and had no way to keep it. He would save her mother's gallery if she submitted to him for a year. Someone would payMona a million dollars to have sex with her for a year. She grew rapacious under Malcolm's guidance. The idea of re- enactment the erotic scenes in famous paintings was a great idea to tell the story. I had a hard time putting the book down. Forget about it.
