Good Pokemon book for young readers- Would recommend

My son turned 7 today and read this book last night before bed. He loved it. He could probably read the story himself, except that the names of the characters can be difficult. The storyline is cute. The girl finds a new Pokemon. They dont know how to take care of it because it is not in the pokedex, but are kind and nice to it. Others try to steal it. Others try to steal it. When it gets away from the bad guys, it realizes that it wants to stay with the girl because it knows that the girl will look out for them. My son is in first grade. I think that readers a few years older than him might find the book too easy or not enough for their liking, but this is a book for younger readers, so that it is perfect for my sons'age.

Good Short Book for Early Readers who Love Pokemon

Very Cute '' Book. Great for early readers. It is a fast read though, with each page usually having an image that takes the page on a page. My 8 year old finished it pretty quickly in 1 setting, 8 year old. He did however enjoy the story and looking at the imagery.

In my experience, reading level 2 is typically appropriate for 6-7 year olds. This is a little too advanced. The description could have been clarified, but I did not notice.

Great book for the 7 year old who loves reading, but hates Poke-Whatever. Written well, it is well received. Illustrations looks as if they have taken it directly from movie or on video, but still great for a child. For my complete book review see Uncle Eddie with Utube Storytime.

This was part of a birthday present for an elementary student. I bought lots of comics for kids and using Pokemon and other comics with superheroes allows kids to have an interest in reading while also having fun.

We got our six year old to read to read. My wife is genius and ordered this to help my son get into reading and it worked. He is always thumbing through the pages. He could not read the text at first, but now loves reading, combined with his awesome schooling and willingness to practice.

I bought this for my daughter who loves it, as do I! I even got into the story, it was great! I even got into the story! I highly recommend this book for any beginner reader who is somewhat fluent and starting to enjoy reading. Its an easy read, but if they sound well, this will work well or can always hang by for support. I didn 't want to leave the story because it was so good. Great quality, very impressive!
