   Not the full version
This version has been shortened from the original. I really have no idea why they did this, but now there are jumps in the story and it doesn't really make sense. Try and find an old used version. UPDATE : I bought a used A'' edition of the Sailor Dog Big Book for $25 on eBay. What a difference? The story now makes sense actually. There are 4 missing pages in the shortened edition and even more written content than that.

My favorite book of all time
My favorite book of all time, my children's too. Gave it to my new honorary grandchild, who has a dog that reminds me of Scuppers. I hope he also loves it. So glad that it is still available! Proust, move over.

   THE SAILOR DOG
JUST REMEMBERED AS I REMEMBERED FROM YEARS PAST. I LOVED THE PICTURES, ESPECIALLY THE ONE OF SCUPPERS IN HIS LITTLE HOUSE.

   I Knew He'd Love IT
Zack is out of the Graduate C School, it has been that many years since I gave him. He was the only son of so long a sailing family that he was well into both his sailing like and that of the dog. The dog's name was close enough to his dog's name that we just changed it. This little book character even looked like his dog. I wish I could remember the name of the dog. He was also a good sailor and went with us wherever we would plan our weekend sails. I also bought a copy for myself. The day is coming when I'll be in my dotage and love pulling out all these wonderful books again.

Dead, Boring and Out of Date
An avid sailor, I have bought numerous books based on sailing for my grandchildren. It is written on the run Spot, run Level of Language Use, which is not at all the way contemporary specialists suggest that we should speak or read to our children grandchildren. Better yet, try Waterfrosh Goes Sailing or the ABCs of the Sailing Way.

   Scuppers will change your life!
I bought this book as a child, had it for my children and again for my grandchildren. Beware the buyer! England, Germany, Ireland, Spain, New Zealand, China, Peru and Italy are just a few of the places we visited to LIVE - the travels to distant lands... Tunisa, Australia, Brasil and beyond.

   Warms My Heart
My parents used to read it as a little boy to me. Then we used to sing the song at the end. Now I sing to my girls and when they read the song it melts my heart. They also love the pictures. It is the perfect book to read very slowly so that you can soak up all the illustrations. There is something great about this simple little story.

   Four pages have been omitted
I have an old copy from 20 years ago that is a big '' addition. I bought this standard addition and omitted 4 pages of illustrations. So disappointed, I am very much. When told in full, this is an awesome story.
