Wonderful

Granted, I had a hard time deciding whether to give it 4 or 5 stars, simply because there were parts running a little long. But the story is so good, so much fun and Reuben is such a great main character that my 5-star enjoyment outweighed a smallish 4-star pacing issue in the end. I am already on my way through the backlog of Benedict Society.

the most mysterious thing in the world
Derived From Web , May 22, 2022
What is the most enigmatic thing in the world? It would be time? This is a mortal series of events surrounding the nature of time that plays on some of the most wonderful concerns of man. To develop this story for young adults, there are friendships and enemies and a bit of time involved. I think half of the time traveler's whife, the time machine, a stitch in time and of course the time turners in the Harry Potter series, including the eight book of course. For those interested in physics, there is also Einstein's Dreams by Alan Lightman.

Get it. Read it. Love it.

My family often reads books at the dinner table together. We read the entire Mysterious Benedict Society series in this way and were thrilled to discover this new volume by Trentin Lee Stewart. The Secret Keepers is an absolute page-turner, as is the series. There is really no good place to read, and many times we found ourselves at the table long after the meal was finished, wanting to stop just a little longer! There are so many exquisitely-described details, remarkable characters and mysterious twists and surprises that it holds everyone's interest. While the amazon product page states that this is for ages 8-11, and indeed the book is a little easier to follow than the Benedict series. We are now 13 years old and have enjoyed it immensely!

Very entertaining and relatable

Sketch '' : It was a big mystery. In a lot of ways, it was a similar world, but every time they mentioned something like the directions it made it seem like a boy living in an alien world. This was a fun experience and I would buy this book for hours of entertainment.

Fun adventure

I really enjoyed this book ''. I bought this for our home library and decided to read it before sharing it with younger members of the family. *****NOTE : As a parent, I would not hand over this to just any child, to read on their own. Even before the mystery begins, there is a lot of direct disobedience, lying about his actions and putting himself in life-threatening situations. The mystery seems to be an excuse to continue on this path. While the protagonist occasionally shows remorse, it is very much a dark day can save the day and parents should be left in the only kind of the book. This would be a great read aloud where you can discuss the unsafe actions of children or for a youth that already has this discernment.

Fantastic Book!
Derived From Web , Jun 28, 2020
I read the books of the Mysterious Benedict Society with my now 12-year-old son. I would put his series of books on par with Harry Potter or any other good book series out there ; they're that celebrated. However, this review isn 't really about the Mysterious Benedict Society... Nevertheless, we are only half way through The Secret Keepers now, but I was compelled to write a review as my son and I already know that it is a winner. The only criticism I could offer, and it is a minor one, is that it kicks kind of slow, but eventually comes into gear and doesn 't look back. I highly recommend any book by Trenton Lee Stewart and await his next book release eagerly. In the meantime, we are thoroughly enjoying The Secret Keepers and highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!

A great read
Derived From Web , Jul 30, 2018
I already liked Trenton Lee Stewart from his other work, The Mysterious Benedict Society, so I was thrilled that he released this. He did not fail! His books are full of great values and are completely family appropriate. The characters are dynamic and relatable, the plot is fun and suspenseful and as always he enjoys testing the protagonist with tricks and tests to solve. It is a good read - great feeling. Note : This book is slightly more elementary than The Mysterious Benedict Society. As an adult, I enjoy reading TMBS over and over again. This book is engaging and heartwarming, but for adults a little less enjoyable. If I want entertainment, I will probably go back to TMBS. Still, I'm happy I bought this one for myself and my kid sister, and I'm sure I'll return soon to it.
