So often we look outside ourselves for motivation, validation and inspiration. Jon teaches us that when we find ourselves, we 'll teach everything we need and more. Indeed, Jon reminds us that God has a plan for our lives, and is bigger and greater than anything we could ever imagine.

The writing is simplistic, which has bothered me from time to time, and is why I can not give it 5 stars. BUT, keep in mind that the purpose of the book is fulfilled if you read it first, then use it as a jumping off point to think and evaluate. If you are looking for a book that will get you thinking, this is a simple and easy way to start.

I bought this book as a birthday present for my husband. He primarily reads for information and doesn 't like books with too much narrative.

I have read many books, but never have I read a book that meets me where I am and spoke in a way that I needed it and read the entire book. I had asked God what is my purpose here, where I should be and here I find the answer.

Can't go wrong!!!!
Derived From Web , May 30, 2022
You can't read the seed if you buy and go the wrong way. As with all Jon Gordon books, it is written as a parable that teaches valuable truths about finding purpose and happiness in life and work. It came at the right time for me, as I have found myself like Josh-burnished and wondering about my purpose. The sub title caught my eye and scratched where I itched Fidning purpose and happiness in life and work. The seed reminded me that happiness is not found in a place, but comes from the depth of your heart when you plant yourself where you are and give your very best. It is read by :

Religious propoganda disguised as a self-help book
Derived From Web , Sep 7, 2020
The overly simplistic narrative focuses on the importance of finding purpose and meaning in life, but then cuts it all by stating that everything happens on GPT or God's perfect timing. In other words, everything in life happens because God wants it that way. It could also mean that God wants to find purpose and meaning despite suffering a miserable existence. That is, God's perfect timing is described in the book by a dog named Dharma.I'm leaving two stars because, unlike The Energy Bus and the No-Complaining Rule, using racially stereotypical stereotypes and behaviors to define its characters and motivations, unlike The Energy Bus and the no-complaining rule.

I learned a lot and pray that I can put all the wonderful lessons I have learned into practice in my life. It is a thing to read -- it is another to do! With the encouragement that Jon Gordon provides in this and so many of his other writings, I feel better equipped than ever. Mr. Gordon, thank you!
