Book Overview

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELER - Get the recipes everyone is talking about, handy nutrition facts, and 125 stunning photographs in the debut cookbook from the wildly popular blog Skinnytaste.

Gina Homolka is America's most trusted home cook when it comes to easy, flavorful recipes that are miraculously low-calorie and made from all-natural, easy-to-find ingredients. Her blog, Skinnytaste is the number one go-to site for slimmed down recipes that you'd swear are anything but.

It only takes one look to see why people go crazy for Gina's food: cheesy, creamy Fettuccini Alfredo with Chicken and Broccoli with only 420 calories per serving, breakfast dishes like Make-Ahead Western Omelet Muffins that truly fill you up until lunchtime, and sweets such as Double Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies that are low in sugar and butter-free but still totally indulgent.

The Skinnytaste Cookbook features 150 amazing recipes: 125 all-new dishes and 25 must-have favorites. As a busy mother of two, Gina started Skinnytaste when she wanted to lose a few pounds herself. She turned to Weight Watchers for help and liked the program but struggled to find enough tempting recipes to help her stay on track. Instead, she started skinny-fying her favorite meals so that she could eat happily while losing weight.

With 100 stunning photographs and detailed nutritional information for every recipe, The Skinnytaste Cookbook is an incredible resource of fulfilling, joy-inducing meals that every home cook will love.

   I LOVE this book
Every night, I make meals from this book. The recipes are easy to cook. My husband is down 32 pounds, I am down 17 pounds and my son has lost 20 pounds since I started cooking with Skinnytaste. The book has helped my family get healthy.

If you like her blog, you'll love her book!
She has a recipe book that you'll love. It's exactly what I expect. Western omelettes were very easy to make and deliver on taste. I've made the Picadillo many times. My favorite recipe is in the book. My fiancée made the tomato and pita sandwiches for us and they are very easy to make. It's a departure from the sandwiches you're used to. Why do I like this book? It's low calories! It is easy to incorporate her recipes into my diet. It is easy to make delicious. I've never made her recipes and thought they were bland. They are full on flavor.

   I love this cookbook
I like this cookbook. The Fettuccine Alfredo is one of the delicious recipes we have made. It was still delicious after I had the leftovers last night. The Baked Potato soup was very good, but I couldn't help myself from eating 3 more pieces of bacon. That's my fault, not the book's. I'm going to try her Chicken Enchilada soup and a few others this week and I'm looking forward to it. My 7yo loved the coco loco smoothie and even had a vegetable in it.

AWESOME book with Real Food recipes that won't blow the calorie budget
I love Gina's recipes. She has kept calories in check while embracing the Real Food motto. It's nice to find a cookbook that uses mostly fresh ingredients, but still keeps the recipes usable for people trying to lose weight. It's a very sound as well. I've tried a lot of things in this book and only had one recipe that was not a do-over. I like to read comments from other cooks. If you are wondering about modifications to the recipes, Gina will chime in and talk to you. A great addition to any cooking library that likes to cook healthy and fresh food.

   WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY
I just started eating clean and thought this book would be a great addition to my collection. I began to highlight key information after reading this. The book was not for me after three pages. People have said that there are too many heavy recipes. I am prediabetic and there is a lot of sugar used. The recipes are very complex. This isn't the book for you if you're looking for clean, healthy and simple. I don't know where all the 5 stars came from. Is that true?

   Great cookbook
It fits my tastes and style. I'm a Betty Crocker, cooking light, America's test kitchen, and joy of cooking kind of cook and this fits right in there. New ideas are not too new to be unappetizing.

   Doesn't track WW points
Returned to me. When I ordered, there were no WW points listed. The meals I tried were not something I would cook again.

   Great Selection
I haven't tried anything yet, but I'm looking forward to doing so. There are no fancy ingredients, great combinations, and nutrition facts included. There is more than a few selections to try in the first cookbook that I found. I would try about seven or eight breakfast recipes. If I like what I make, I will move to 5 stars.

   Some Good Looking Food
I like the photos of the food. It helps to see what it should look like. You eat with your eyes, it's true. I wouldn't try all of the recipes, but there are a few that look good, including chicken dishes and veggy dishes. A good way to cook is to eat healthy and cut calories. I liked the cookbook.

   Best Healthy Cookbook Ever!
One of my favorite books. A young professional who is trying to cook affordable, tasty and healthy meals will find this cookbook helpful. The cookbook is budget friendly and there are some pricier recipes in it. The Chicken Cordon Bleu Meatballs are my favorite recipe. It's Holy Goodness! My family is hooked on them. If you want to make them on the weekend, freeze them, then pop them in the microwave for a quick thaw, and you will be able to make them on the day you want them. Salad dressings are very delicious. Lots of nutrition 101 information is in the introduction.
