Sound buttons difficult
Derived From Web , Feb 13, 2022
This is a beautiful book. I would give it five stars for story and illustration. However, I would give it only one star for sound. The buttons on the sides do not really work no matter how hard an adult presses them, let alone a child. Yes, the buttons work SOMETIMES when pressed the back cover, but again it takes a powerful push to activate. This was a special Christmas gift for my granddaughter, my daughter loved everything about sleeping beauty, especially music. My daughter was so excited that I had ordered the book, but after reading it with the full effect, we were all disappointed.

Wonderful and magical!
Derived From Web , Apr 6, 2021
We have every title in this series and I love them all 4 year old! The illustrations are advanced, the music on each page adds to the atmosphere and the book will grow with her as the back page has more information on music for older children. It is true that the buttons are kind of hard to press and so I press them as we read, but that doesn 't really take much away from the experience. Another thing I love and appreciate is that this book and Swan Lake feature people of color throughout, which is ridiculously rare despite living in 2021. All around the amazing books is written

It is captivating. My niece loves it!
Derived From Web , Mar 29, 2021
I wrote this book for my niece's 4th birthday. She loves ballet and this book is a really nice introduction to music. I love to see all visible skin colors in the book. This is a great example of how diversity should be perceived in an era when diversity should be celebrated. And sometimes, as mentioned above, it is hard to push the music buttons. But I don 't mind at all. Just a little downside ''. Finally, it is suitable to read this book with an adult who can help push the music buttons.

Nice blending of music with story. My 5 y.o. loves it.
Derived From Web , Sep 18, 2020
I wish the sound clips were a little longer. I realized it is classical music for kids, but it seems like they are about 10 seconds. Also, the sound buttons are hard to press for children. You have to mash them just right. But overall, my kid loves it and it has got her wanting to see the real ballet of Sleeping Beauty. That is a lot richer than Disney...

Lovely Book, but Music Buttons don't all work
Derived From Web , Aug 19, 2019
I love these books, the illustrations and music are so beautiful! My daughter has every. I was so excited to give her this new book Sleeping Beauty for her birthday, but the music buttons don 't all work. They are already SUPER hard to push and they almost break my 6 yr old daughters fingers trying to push them. Unfortunately, this book does not work in particular the music buttons.

Bought for my little music lover
Derived From Web , Mar 22, 2019
I bought this for our little girl, who is a violinist and justifies the score of this ballet. The perfect gift for a music and ballet fan. It is not at all Tool Lou and has impressive sound and art. We love that the book is so inclusive and diverse. My children are always looking for that quality in our books and in other media. You will need a new battery so that you can be prepared ahead of time.
