What a Tribute!

The book is a tribute to one of America's finest poets. The book is popular with both children and adults. The poems are enjoyable. The children in my classroom list these poems as favorites. My students are inspired by the art work to achieve as much as they can. The introduction gives the reader a history of the Harlem art's movement, as well as a contribution by Hughes. The information can be shared with children, but it is not written for them. This book is one of the best books I have ever read.
