Book Overview

It's time to take back what the devil has stolen and put God back into our culture. The Theft of America's Soul is a prophetic wake-up call for all who desire to see our nation thrive, challenging readers to exchange these ten lies for truths that will bring peace of mind, harmony, and prosperity back to our country--an invitation to experience the life-giving, peace-filling, wholly-transforming love of God.

Phil Robertson, patriarch of A&E's Duck Dynasty and one of the most recognized voices of conservative Christianity in America, believes that little by little, generation by generation, America has allowed the lines of morality, decency, and virtue to be erased. Our values have disappeared as we began to believe lies--such as that God is dead, truth is relative, and unity is impossible--that have brought discord, division and protest. But Phil also believes that things can change.

Writing with captivating storytelling and unflinching honesty, Phil shows how to make America a God-honoring nation once more: by dropping the ten central lies that rule our day, including

  • God is dead
  • There is no Devil
  • Truth is relative
  • Sex is for self-gratification

Phil speaks for the troubles that plague America and the world because of its rejection of God, but offers hope in Christ!

   Great read.
I loved this book because not only did it dive into the problems that have destroyed our country today, it also went rather in-depth about Phil's early struggles and his path to Christ.

Very glad to have gotten this book !!!
I like his ease of expressing his thoughts. His college education, survival skills, business know how, ability to read people, and having a human past make him wise and in his case, repentant.

   Jesus loves you!
Phil, thanks for a great read! This was the first book by you that I have read, but I now plan to read the others. I love the simple message of love and truth that Phil reflects in his backwoods down to Earth way.

   Typical Phil...
He does not punches, he tells the truth and he loves God. There is no doubt about any of it. He hates him or loves him, he stands on the word. I enjoy listening to his take on the world and aspire in some ways to be more like him.

   Couldn't put this book down
Phil is right, because if America wants to get on track by being freed from the slave of sin, they must hear the gospel and repent and call on the name of the Lord, though he shalt be saved. I rated this 3 not that it was not a great read and had tons of truth. I disagreed with his stance on water baptismal saving a person ''. The waters are not magical, Jesus has the magic alone to transform the soul. Baptism is a declaration and public faith profession already made in Christ. Jesus ruins everything, it is faith alone in Christ, nothing less, nothing more. I would recommend reading, but make sure you search the scriptures yourself whether these things are so Paul says. I also learned many things from this book and it challenged me to be more courageous about the good news. If we love people, we will want to see them freed.

   Counteracting modern myths about christianity
A magnificent portrayal of Christian life and virtue, with all the ups and downs included. I love the writing style of Robertson just like he talks! '' Surprised that it was divided into eleven chapters devoted to a lie '' or myth from the culture of today. It is extremely inspirational and a great resource for Christian readers.
