   The best children's book!
It's a trip to the "trap" part. I enjoy reading them, Bruno said. This is by far the best deal I have ever purchased.

This book was bought for my husband's 71year old brother ...
It was bought for my husband's (and his wife's) 71-year-old brother as a birthday present. When he was 5 years old, his brother would beg his older sister to read him this book. The book arrived the same day that my wife got a phone call from Amazon saying that the book made her day. The book met all our expectations, Michael Schweer said.

   Classic tale
I enjoy reading this book, especially the John Wayne impersonations, complete with the big billy goat! It's the classic tale of a giant troll under the bridge. My son, her Dad, does not like the term "ugly" used by the troll. She said she thinks it will "teach her someone ugly is wrong."

   Poor Quality
When I saw the positive reviews, I was even more excited! The first time I ordered the book, it came completely missing all the pages. The new book has all the pages glued together, making it seem like a book. The writer, Robert Hein, said Gates's technique was akin to making a book impossible to read.

   Nice artwork
I bought this because my grandson was interested in what few snippets of the story I could recall from my own childhood. I wasn't able to review all the pages of each stand-alone version, and I can't judge whether the story has been sanitized from the original. The troll is pretty scary, but the goats are nicely done.

   3yr old loves this book
The illustrations are wonderful, the book is well written and the introduction is witty. My grand daughter wants us to read every time she visits. Very nice book for any kid's library.

   It's the original tale!
I have searched and searched for an illustrated version of the story I remember hearing as a kid, but most of the illustrators have embellished the tale until it is almost unrecognizable from the original. One version I found was just plain and offensive, and totally unfit for a toddler. The pictures are just perfect, the story told exactly as the original, short and simple. Now I have a 3 1/2 year old grandson who will have me read it to him several times in a row. If you have a 2-year-old, this book is for you.

   Great book for a toddler!
I've had a couple of kids who loved this book. A great format of a classic story, perfect for a 2 year old to follow along. Like the rest of the illustrators, I'm partial to the lines.

   An Oldie but Goodie
My grandson's favorite book, and we've read it multiple times. As I recall, the story line and photos are as I remember when I read it to my children.
