   Man from Missouri
The use of the A-bomb, the Marshall Plan, the Berlin Airlift, NATO, and the Korean War are some of the things that happened in Potsdam. During President Truman's term of office, all of this happened. If you think we are all safe, look at Putin and Ukraine. Jeffrey Frank tells his story in a way that is clear and easy to understand. He provides vivid color on his strengths and weaknesses on the personal side of Truman. This is not a full academic biography. It is not very strong on the President's domestic policies. A positive but balanced book on Harry Truman that reads like one you might expect from the pen of an experienced and talented journalist.

Terrific, quick paced, honest portrayal of HST.
I enjoyed reading the biography of the man. A president who continues to grow.

It is well written. Frank puts Truman's career into context, even though he didn't know much about it.
