Good, but not "ultimate"
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
This is a good, though incomplete encyclopedia to the Minecraft universe. The writing is solid and gives you a good understanding of each topic, and the illustrations appear to be taken from the game directly, but the low gloss pages mute the color and contrast, compared to how things appear in the real game. If you read the entire encyclopedia you will find references to some of the items here and there. There is always the Internet.

Great way to get your little minecrafter excited about reading!
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
My son absolutely loves it, and we're thrilled the book was picked up by Scholastic. It has been so fun to read it together, said Cara. It fuels his imagination and its so fun to read something and the next day he is putting it into practice but then anxious to go back to the book and learn more. This book is a great way for parents to engage in an activitiy with their kiddos if they enjoy minecraft. I was oblivious to the intricacies of minecraft and what the imagination of a little boy is capable of. What a great story, said Gillian.

5 year old wants to learn to read!
Derived From Web , Dec 26, 2020
My Goodness, if there had been nothing else under the tree this year, my grandson would not have cared. When he opened this book, he was immediately turning pages and trying to read what the instructions said. Now he is anxious to learn how to read the rest of the book. Throughout the day he carried on in-depth conversations with cousins and friends ages 12 to 16 and aunts and uncles via Zoom and video chats, discussing everything from Minecraft and getting tips to buying a house. After that, he wakes up, picks up the book and takes it with him to read and play minecraft. Wow! That was pretty impressive, right? I have not seen a 5 year old that interested in a book, Mr. Dhaliwal said.

My kid absolutely loves the book. I just skip these parts because it's not relevant for our minecraft play. It's a solid, simple reference, Raymond said.

Great learning resource
Derived From Web , Jun 28, 2020
This book has been on my shelf for ages. My kiddo doesn't actually play Minecraft. But he has watched videos and done the Minecraft coding game. He is obsessed and this book helps to answer the questions he asked about the real action Minecraft that I know nothing about. This has curbed his need for the real game for awhile as he isn't quite mature enough for it yet. But it's been a bit of a struggle trying to find the exact documents. Also for PC users this is for the game only.
