   My son loves this book
It's not heavy, but it seems sturdy. My son absolutely loves the book and I think it was a huge hit.

   Love Eric Carle books
This is a cute book with lower case letters which is unusual for children's books. Great way to learn.

   Lowercase case letters YEY!
I've been looking for an alphabet board book with lowercase letters. I just think Eric Carle should have used a different animal for b, since he used quetzal for q and that's a bird too, and a different animal for d, since xolo is already a dog, Raymond said. Yes, I can slide those two coins. What I really didn't like is that it's a mythical creature. If he really wanted the word unicorn, at least make it a unicorn fish, so it's a real animal. Or perhaps an urchin? .

   Bought new. Came dirty.
Like others, Mr. Powell said the book came dirty. Very annoying, especially because I bought it new, not used. It was a bit of a shock, but I was able to clean it up with disinfectant. It's a book that combines whimsy and pizazz.

   Weird...
Overall this is a great book for my 1 year old. One complaint, I think. is fairly common. For example, if you were to choose a letter X, why would you choose a Xolo? Sure, that's a very hard letter to come up with for animals, but what the heck is a Xolo? It was a total waste of time, effort and money to try to pronounce it! If I struggled with that, then what toddler wouldn't? For the second part, they chose a Quetzal. The second time around, it was the same problem. There were other letters I was bothered with as well, but I've said enough. Overall, we love the book, just a few niggles.

   Great abc book, lowercase!
Gorgeous illustrations by Eric Carle are better than I expected from a book! One of the complaints my daughter has is that the book uses lowercase letters, but the i is yellow on white with texture added so it's hard to see. The kid is going to have a hard time recognizing it.

   Wonderful book, beautiful illustrations.
My 3 year old LOVES pointing and recognizing all the animals and letters. My only complaint is that they didn't include any uppercase letters.

   ABCs
He also told me that his 3-year-old loves the Very Hungry Caterpillar. Lately, he has been picking up his letters. It was a perfect fit for him to have this book with his favorite character. He's a huge fan of the book and carries it around with him all over the place. A book about a boy who wants to be a doctor.

   Good ABC Book
This is one of the better books out there. I only wish there wasn't so much white space between the pages. It's still a great book, Simon says.
