More to the Story Than What You See on TV
If you're only hooked on the show so far, do yourself a favor and catch up with the comics. They are drastically different, and you won't be thrown for a loop. My husband, who's not a big reader, devoured this compendium in record time. It's more intense than the show, so I have to take breaks here and there, but each time I pick up, I'm hooked!

   I love The Walking Dead
If you are a fan of the show, you need to read this. He added that he was awaiting the third volume of "The Three Compendium." AMC discovered that the show was in fact called The Walking Dead. Now, if you are not familiar with the AMC series, it is different from the TV show. Or shall I say, the TV show is different from the print version, since it's the original that came first. This does not bother me in the least, or cause any kind of confusion, Mr. G. Caramore said. It's actually sort of like it because it means I get that much more entertainment from it, Sosa said.

   love it!
If you enjoyed reading compendium 1 you won't regret this purchase. The price is so much better than purchasing the entire book from Amazon. com. If you're not a comic reader it can be really confusing figuring out what you need to read to keep up with the comics. After this you want to start reading Volume 17 and up, or else you have to wait for the 3rd compendium, but that might not be out for another 6 months at least.

   Outstanding continuation
This and one book covered my craving for more of this story while waiting for the next season of the TV show to start. If you are a fan of the show, do yourself a favor and pick up The Walking Dead Compendium One and The Walking Dead Compendium Two, and then the following trade paperbacks, The Walking Dead Volume 17 TP to Fear, and comics. Like all good stories, the story, like all the zombies and the world they inhabit, simply arises through a catalyst for great story telling. The compendiums are great way to catch up on the news.

   I love this series
I've seen the second and third seasons, and I love them both. I haven't read a graphic novel in a long time, but this series has made me pick them up again. There is so much detail to the images that you need to pay attention to get the character development and it's wonderful. If you like the show, you'll love these.

If you are a fan of the Walking Dead - ...
If you are a fan of the Walking Dead, you need to read this one plus the others! No spoilers here, but it was slower than the first two books by a long shot. Yes, more character development with your occasional death.

   Excellent
Great item, said Gillian. I bought this as a present and then bought it for myself. It's excellent for someone into the comics that wants to read and enjoy them without having to worry about all the collector stuff, Sosa said.

If you only watch the TV show you are a loser
I've read Compendium I and watched the entire TV series -- thank you, Netflix and AMC marathons -- and can say that reading the book won't diminish your enjoyment of the show, Hollingworth said. I'll go the next step and say that reading the comics will do more for your appreciation for the TV series and EVEN MORE for your appreciation of comic books, Sosa said. I went from the meh fan to the avid fan of the comic genre thanks to the AMC hit The Walking Dead. I have to read it at home so I'm looking forward to some downtime, he said.

   Zombies Everywhere!!!
Bought one, loved it, waited patiently for compendium two. Brand new wheels, new paint job, and a good dent in it. I'd like it better in a digital version, but I just prefer reading on my iPad, and I don't buy actual books anymore.

   Cover didn't come in color
I bought it since this was one of the best prices I could find for a new copy of the second compendium, and while I know that the comic's themselves are not in color, I was disappointed to find that the cover art was not. I may end up sending it back or trying to get in touch with them to figure out what is wrong with my order. Overall, I am disappointed that it wont match up with my bookshelf.
