   Kids are laughing out loud
Currently I have 3 young children reading these books. They love them. They love them. In their rooms, they actually laugh loudly. The chapters are short so that children feel the accomplishment of completing “a whole chapter ” a short way.

   Just the right level of absurdist humor
I remember this series kindly from my own childhood, and my daughter seems to enjoy a lot of absurdist style humor, so I got this for her for Christmas. Since she began to get into the books, she has not put them down, so that is definitely a good choice if your child is into it.
