Book Overview

The 25th anniversary edition of a beloved classic

Over a million young readers have enjoyed the wheels that go round, doors that open and shut, and people who go bumpety-bump. Today it remains as fresh and engaging as when it was first published twenty five years ago.

To celebrate the anniversary, Paul O. Zelinsky has created an all-new cover featuring twenty five, hidden 25s. Some are the number 25 and others are 25 of something in the picture. Can you find them all?

   A Timeless Treasure!
This is a very clever book. My granddaughter loves it! We sing the song as we turn the pages. The babies on the bus opening and closing their mouths is our favorite page. Cute and fun! It's not a book that can be left alone with a toddler, but with proper guidance and supervision, it can be loved and appreciated for years to come. My mother bought a book in the 1990's that she still reads to her kids. It's a timeless treasure and it's definitely a keeper.

Pull tabs not designed for tiny humans
The media could not load. This book was bought for a toddler because they love singing this song so much. The pull tabs aren't designed for small children. Any parent with small children knows books need to be designed in a way that's strong. If not closely monitored, these will get ripped easily.

   Kids LOVE this interactive book
The illustrations are colorful and fun. I gave it to my son when he was two years old, and he is now 30. I'm sharing this book with my granddaughter. At night, it is a go- to favorite. The book has been well received, and all of the parts are still working. The doors to the bus still open and close, the wheels on the bus still go round and round, the windows still go up and down, and so on and so forth. I gave a new copy to a coworker who has a young child. She says that her child loves it. It's my favorite.

   Great interactive book for toddler
The Wheels on the Bus book was published in 1990. My son had a book. I began sharing this older book with my grandson when he was a baby. He likes it. I wanted to get him a copy of the new publication so I found it. I am very happy with it. The 1990 version is almost the same as the 1990 version. I have to help with the pull tabs right now because my grandson is 18 months old, but when I pull the book out he laughs and says " BUS!!" He is very happy to sit in my lap and read to me. He knows all the movements ' In and Out' ' Swish Swish Swish'... ect and does them with me when I read it.

Kids love but it falls apart!
Excellent book! My son adores it! The one of the wipes fell off. My son was not doing anything crazy with it, they were sticky and hard to get them to move and one fell off. Looks like the glue didn't do well. I know that kids tear these, but it wasn't in the wiper. The return window closed on the 7 th. Not happy at all.

   For children four and above
The book is based on the DVD production of The Wheels on the Bus by the Bacon Brothers. The music and art in the video are amazing. The book has the same graphics as the video, and it is interactive. The tabs that make the various characters move are difficult to pull. The book is in danger of tearing. My four- year- old grandson can basically handle it, but he needs help and supervision. The book can be read to younger children by an adult.
