Sorry but... *shrugs*

This one has the same turbulence pace as the first, which was irksome. But I was able to get more out of it now that I understood the construct of the world. Beautiful but... meh. This is a moderate buildup with a large payout. I appreciate it, but I wouldn 't gift it. I can only recommend it to teenagers or people who enjoy reading modern interpretations of the gods.

Great story continued

While there were moments where I fell in and out of attention, this is still a unique and interesting story. The sequel retained a similar pace and intensity of drama as the first and ended in a rather cliff hanger that does a fantastic job of leaving me wanting more. I have still trouble keeping names straight and I haven 't found the characters to be quite likable enough to feel an emotional connection, which would make the experienced a lot better in my opinion.

A fun read.

It can be a little confusing at times, but is great for most of the time. I would tell anyone that they need to read the first volume before starting this one, if they want to have any chance of knowing what is going on. The stories really do build on each other, and don 't make sense if you haven 't read what first came.

The mysteries really pile up in this volume and everything ...

The mysteries really do pile up in this volume and everything is entertaining. My only criticism in the presentation is that the panel layouts don 't feel as dynamic as they could be, for example when characters have back-and-forth conversations, instead of having spoken bubbles intertwined with various action panels.

This series is one of my favorite, I love the art style and the premise ...

There is SOME sexual content in this but is not prevalent ; it is more of a background used as a way to describe a character's life style. Everything used in the story has a purpose, whether it is spelled out or used as a subtext, there doesn't seem to be anything that isn 't relevant. If you feel there is, it usually clicks into place later in the story and I love writing like that. I think this story would appeal to many, and if you don 't mind colorful language, some sexual content, violence, gore, or anything of this nature, you should definitely pick it up. The characters are well written, they are nice round characters and you develop feelings of dislike, compassion or indifference for them. This story is unique and keeps you on your toes, I look forward to the next installment.

This did not disappoint being my first graphic novel series read
Derived From Web , May 31, 2022
Regarding The Wicked + The Divine, the first two volumes read in succession are totally better than most films in the last 10 years. The second volume pulled me completely into the lore with excellent colour and artwork. I wanted to research and read more about the historical gods portrayed by the pop stars. I heard that the rights to a television show have been bought or produced. Amazon really needs to consider grabbing these rights. This ending in volume two... I did not see this coming at all. I cried and screamed.

Gorgeous art and good story

An interesting look at the obsession of people with stars '' and the toxicity of fandom. More twists to the story of the young gods and those who aspire to be their equals. I love this series '' and can not recommend it enough.

THE WICKED & THE DIVINE VOL. 2 Fandemonium
Derived From Web , Feb 8, 2020
I was always interested in the mythical old legends of the gods, this is great because it brings back the past 90 years. Also, with the murder mystery, I love it, great characters you see as you get a feeling for reading. Turner is a great page!
