   Fun book
My kids and I loved this book. We read every night before bed. The animal characters are cute and fun.
and I'm so glad I chose this one
The book is not reduced, contrary to what one review said, which is misleading. I was looking for an illustrated edition for my children, and I'm happy I chose this one. The illustrations are great. The paper of the book is thick and smooth and I was happy to see that. A very good edition of a very good book.
NOT the Wind in the Willows
I bought this book because I wanted to read it for my book club. The style of the book might have been the reason for the odd diction. I got to this paragraph and said to hold it difficult a minute. The Rat said it. He looped the painter through a ring in his landing- level, climbed up into his hole above, and after a short programming language came back to life. I found another copy of the book and found out that the programming language was not in the original book. The book club members agreed that this wasn't a real copy of the book. Do not buy it. You can get a free copy.
   The edition matters!
There are several editions of this book that are being reviewed. The hardcover edition that is illustrated by Robert Ingpen and has more than 200 pages in the product specifications is not being reduced. It is the full text and it is wonderful, from the paper quality to the binding to the formatting to the beautiful illustrations. I would recommend it to others. I believe there is a children's version on the market that also has illustrations by Ingpen, so just check your number of pages if you want the full text. Until " abridged" or " unabridged" is included in the book specifications on Amazon.
   The Folio Society edition
The society is named the Folio Society. This is supposed to be the most beautiful version of Wind in theWillows. I also have the Easton Press version. All three are great. I'm not sure which one is the best. I intend to update my post. I think a buyer is interested in hearing about the best. Robert Ingpen illustrated the version of the classic book. I don't like Ingpen's drawings. The cover of the book was not on the Folio copy I received. The only thing that matters is the book.
The hardcover version of the book was illustrated by Robert Ingpen. I bought this book for myself as I am currently collecting all the illustrated editions of classic stories for my collection and I was a bit skeptical at first based on reviews. I decided that I would buy it anyway as it seems like a pretty edition. I fell in love with the book when I looked at the cover. The pages are thick and luxurious, there is an illustration on almost every page, and the book is beautiful. Robert Ingpen is an artist. The book is very good.
Beware - Beautiful, but Shortened Version of Full Text
Kenneth Graham is the author of The Classic Edition. This is not the long edition that I have been reading before. This edition is shorter. When I bought the Classic Edition, I didn't know it was not the full version. The illustrations are beautiful, but the shortened length deprives the reader of the full version of the story.
