Kids favorite book (as read by the Obamas)
The first lady and daughters of the president were seen on video reading the book. The book has been a hit with the kids, and we're thrilled with the outcome.

Great book to get students into collecting words
It was a blast, said Blair, who played with George Michael. Then they can copy five words from the Word Collection chart. I encourage them to use the English language's dictionaries when they write.

Perfect Book for my Perfect grandson
This book is the best. I include all the cards so he can collect his own. 0 3171201 This kid is a total rebel, so I included all the cards so he can take his own words. Beautifully illustrated by Frank Quattrone. Big words. A fun book to read.

Good option for those that are not reading as well
I almost missed the first two pages of this book, "The Word Jar." The ePub reader is a good option for those that are not reading.

Really nice--there's a lot going on in this simple story
When they found out he was a professional wrestler, they were "super curious" about Jerome's hobby, and they thought he was an interesting kid, they said. It's great to talk about your kids' interests in reading. It gets them thinking about what they like, how they can express that, what words they think are interesting, and just generally how you can interact with other people to make the world a better place, he said. I also love that the main character is a boy of color, and that his race is not the subject of the story. We need more of those, Mr. Dhaliwal said.

A lovely book, Gillian. Great story, great words, non preachy sharing lesson, especially great for passionate book and word lovers of all ages, even preschoolers, Raymond said. We don't get tired of reading it over and over again.

   A must have!
You can't put it down, Sebastian wrote in his review of the book. I asked my students to hang on to every word and use it as inspiration to write their own poems. Thanks to Dr. Peter Reynolds and Dr. Alfred Taubman of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
