   The Yellow House Mystery, No. 3 (Boxcar Children Mysteries)
I bought books 1-4, for an 8-year old... she absolutely loves them. Regardless, she enjoys reading. However, since she is required to read for school every night 30-minutes, the chapter books come in very handy. More often than not, she reads beyond her 30-minutes because she wants to finish a certain chapter, and on a few occasions she has completed the entire book before going to bed. The stories are great, fun, interesting, and the illustrations are okay. She looks forward to following the different characters through the main series. This series looks like something that an adventurous child should enjoy, which is why I bought it for my 7 - year old granddaughter, who loves to read at night before she goes to sleep. I hope these mysteries will whet her appetite for adventure and excitement and provide some good old-fashioned entertainment. When I was a girl, the Nancy Drew mysteries did that for me. There was not much of this kind of story when I was a girl, many moons ago. Somehow, I read these, but may miss them after their first reader finished with them. Her mother will perhaps also be a bit sex.

So many twists that you just want to read more, but some depression. Not alot, but one or two so that you don 't have to stop reading the amazing boxcar children. I recommend this book for ages 7 to 12.

   Terrific storyline/plot.
It is one of the original stories by Gertrude Chandler Warner and is a classic. Wonderfully '' narrated once again by Tim Gregory. I loved it and I am 47 yrs old.

   We all liked the Yellow House Mystery
Every night I read to my grandsons. We are 212 hrs away. We stay in touch with The Boxcar Children books every night so that we can stay away with them. So far, they really stay engaged with the books. We continue in this series until they want to move to Th Hardy Boys. We all liked the mystery of the Yellow House. The twins are 8 years old and excellent readers, but still enjoy having someone read to them when they fall asleep. I love you, I am cherished every minute.
