The price was also very good. My son was able to read this book on his own and he understood it very well. This was his first chapter book and I did not have to keep reading on him to read. Sunshine State boooks 2016-2017.

My 7 year old son loves this series of the books! He reads them soon after as they came in the mail. And when he got to school, he took an AR test, he got 100% on the test! It is fun reading for him, I love to see it.

Leaden writing shortchanges cute visuals
Derived From Web , Jun 13, 2017
I found the illustrations unique, but the text so cute. The dialogue was complicated and the writing was leading. I felt like a great editor would have been kinder and pruned and turned the lyrics into something funnier ''. I read it to my 4 year old and she seemed meh about it. My seven-year-old daughter read and put it down halfway. Envision a book written by someone who is a binafide hipster and married to someone who regularly reads Goop. There are a lot of visual touchstones that are intended to be cool and appeal to kids from these audiences, but it falls flat. I wish I could say more beautiful things about it. I really wanted to like it, and the colors on the cover have definitely popped. I'd instead recommend the series of the bad guys.

Pretty good story!

I would give this a 5 star rating, except that the binding is a little flimsy and might not last long with an 8 year old.

Needed this as an emergency replacement when the dog was literally at the homework. My girl loved it and we needed a really quick replacement so that she could finish it and get it back to the library.
