The Yoga of Herbs
Derived From Web , May 30, 2022
The yoga of Herbs is a practical opus that helps to understand how uncomplicated herbal self-help and self-healing can be. This text also helps the curious student in a bit of astrology to understand the connection of herbs to various houses and elements of the zodiac houses which are fire, earth-water, air-either to bring the Tridoshas, which is in fact the foundation of all spiritual traditions. Additionally, Vasant Lad provides the Sanskrit for each herb for those who want to learn the parallel connection between the western tradition of the eastern tradition and the Ayurvedic tradition of the healing. Merci beaucoup Vasant Lad for this wonderful healing opus!

Disappointing, superficial and for beginners only.
Derived From Web , May 12, 2020
Disappointing, useful descriptions andor lightweight data to fully describe each herb's efficacy, methods of use and applications. More for amateurs and beginners who seek superficial knowledge only. You have to find with each herb online to go for deep coverage. For example, the wonderful herb Shankhapuspi, so beneficial for nervous disorders, is given a scant few lines of information, which is no help at all. When you are seeking complete information about how to help your patients or yourself, look elsewhere. Kathleen is a doctor.

This is my Herb Bible - Love, love, LOVE it!
Derived From Web , Feb 1, 2020
I love the practical value of this Bible, which includes herbs commonly available as well as ayurvedic herbs. Instructions are specific and descriptions of each herb very complete. I have been using it for years and recently bought a copy to give it to one of my favorite healers. She is a wealth of knowledge about eastern herbs, but is interested in learning more about Western herbs.
