I chose a 4 star rating because the work is still engaging and clever. MyK-K students love the Old Lady Who Swallowed stories, too. If you are looking for books with a theme you can bring back each month, the Old Lady books are for you. It's that time of year again - Valentine's Day! The pre-k and K ages are excited each time I bring out a new book. What do they expect her to eat now?

This is completely different from the book I was reading when I was 15, and the story is also different. It was my absolute fav book as a kid. It turned out that this was a 2014 rewrite, and that I had missed half the story.
