From the illustrator of the #1 smash hit The Day the Crayons Quit comes the age-old tale of a boy and his moose . . .
Wilfred is a boy with rules. He lives a very orderly life. It's fortunate, then, that he has a pet who abides by rules, such as not making noise while Wilfred educates him on his record collection. There is, however, one rule that Wilfred's pet has difficulty following: Going whichever way Wilfred wants to go. Perhaps this is because Wilfred's pet doesn't quite realize that he belongs to anyone. A moose can be obstinate in such ways. Fortunately, the two manage to work out a compromise. Let's just say it involves apples. We absolutely LOVE his work! My grandmother, who also shares a love of children's books, has also fallen in love and bought a copy herself! My 4 year old absolutely adores his books when I teach, when I bring his books to read at the end of the day, as a reward. Just LOVE it! Great illustrations!

A good read!

This book was actually received so well by my three-year-old grandson, who bought so much for my other grandson, that I bought another for my third grandson. His mother's father loved both the book! The story is so different and entertaining, with just enough twist to make it a favorite for all!

RODRIGO!
Derived From Web , Aug 4, 2021
This book is 1.5 year old, LOVES this book. Well, 1.5 years old is actually the old person who thinks the moose is named Rodrigo. But this gray-haired, rad glasses, gem of a human that thinks the moose is Rodrigo, is a huge hit. I mean HUGE.

Funny Story with a Point
Derived From Web , May 2, 2019
All of my children love this book. It's funny. The boy thinks that the moose belongs to him. However, it seems that the moose has actually several other people in his life, at least two! The twist at the end had the kids in a fit of giggles. One of my kids is dealing with “best friends†at school. Their classes are pairing and labeling each other. I thought that this book was a beautiful way to talk about it and also remind them about it. It is on our regularly updated list, the pictures are also snool and we enjoyed the natural scenes.
