My sons just adore this book, it has a catchy little rhyme and beautiful illustrations…it has been a favorite of ours for a long time!

   Glad I ignored other reviews
I am glad I ordered this book despite the negative reviews. My 19 month olds are obsessed with school buses and I thought the pictures would be fun but the story is good. If your child is familiar with LBT and knows that Little Blue gives the pig a ride to school, the story is not as problematic as some reviewers think.

   Great addition to the collection
The book was not predatory in nature despite the negative reviews. If you' ve read the rest of the series, you' ll know that little blue is a good friend with all the farm animals. In the first book, he gives rides to the animals so he isn't new to their families. We liked this one.

   Very cute addition to the LBT series
It was given to my son before he started preschool. He doesn't like that it doesn't show the animals going into the school, but he asks me to read it every night before I sleep.

   Book is about *driving to school*, not attending school.
My child is going to start preschool in September and is showing signs of not wanting to go. When I saw that the Little Blue Truck series was releasing a book about school, I pre- ordered it. I thought a book about the topic with one of his favorite characters would build some excitement for him. The book is about Little Blue wishing he was a school bus and driving a piglet to school. There is nothing to be afraid of when taking a big step. You may be disappointed if you were hoping that this book would help your child transition to school. If you enjoy the Little Blue Truck series, then go for it.

   Sending mixed messages
I pre- ordered this book for my son, who is one, because I have bought every single blue truck book. I am a second grade teacher and was horrified by the storyline. It is not made clear that the little blue truck knows the little pig very well and can be confusing to children that it would be ok to get in someone's car when they are late to school. I wouldn't read this to my son or my class because I would have to explain that you don't get in anyone else's car except for the school bus, unless it's your mom and dad. Some people may think this is dramatic, but we need to let our kids know what is safe and what is not.

   Don’t like it
My 2.5 yo loves Little Blue Truck and school busses, so I ordered this book for him. He likes this one, but I am not impressed. It doesn't have the same charm as the original, and they emphasize how easy it was instead of how hard it was. There is a random owl that is awake during the day.

The book will be returned by me. The majority of the series are Little Blue Truck books. I had to talk to my child about not getting into vehicles if you miss the bus because you end up in the woods. I wonder if anyone thought about this when editing the book. Is that right?

   Adorable addition to little blue truck books
My new favorite book is this one. It's very cute. The little Blue truck is a little jealous of the school bus. He realized he could help his friends even if he wasn't like the school bus. I wish they made all the blue truck books in board book style. Until my little guy is a little older, this book will need to go away.

   Good but not a board book
The little blue truck line has a good addition. I was disappointed that it was not a board book and that it was not clear on the pre- order page. I was going to use it to help my oldest child transition to Pre-K next year, but I'm not sure they' re ready for real books.
