   The colors, the message
I got this book for my granddaughter and was happy with it. The book was made one that will be returned to regularly. We have a great recipe to try when the tomatoes are plentiful.

I saw her on the show. I immediately ordered it. The book and illustrations were very good. I will be making the recipes with my 2 granddaughters.

   Kids book for adults
This is a nicely illustrated and well written book that I liked more than my son. It lacked the fun that kids usually enjoy, so I don't think he'll want to go back to it. Sometimes we come across books that are written to get parents to buy them instead of the kid who is actually the audience.

I was disappointed that there were only 2 recipes and astor in the book. I assumed the author was making a cookbook when I saw him making tomatoe on Facebook.

   A beautiful looking book, fun to read with kids, learn about tomatoes and try the recipes!
The book is about young Neela as she cooks with her mother and learns about tomatoes. The work is wonderful, and the small one that read it was thrilled to see all of the interesting things in the background. They're in the market on Saturdays and she keeps a journal of things she learns about cooking. The celebration of family is what is happening as Neela is looking forward to cooking for her grandmother. The actual recipes that are contained in the book at the end are Paati's Tomato Sauce and Neela's Tomato Chutney. Some fun facts about tomatoes and farm workers precede these recipes. This was a book that we enjoyed reading to the kids. The two recipes are great, and we are looking forward to eating them.
