My 1st grader absolutely fell in love with the series. He's read all the books and is anxious for more to come out. i love the mix of world info, local story telling and of course the spy aspect of it all. My son flies through these and we are happy to support this new series, Garton said.

My kids, aged 9 and 8, absolutely love the show. We read them out loud together and spend a lot of time predicting how Mac will get out of each crazy situation, he said. We all were in hysterics, Hughes said.

Not a fan

I dont like this book. The format and style of the program are appropriate for today's youth. The content- screening his mom calls from her boyfriend while they were in a fight, tipping toeing around so he wouldn't annoy his mom- might not align with some parents' preferences for the recommended age group.

My 8 year old LOVES this!
Derived From Web , Oct 16, 2019
My son started reading the series at 7 years old and it was the perfect introduction to chapter books. I feel like the best foundation to all worldly happiness is reading, and this is a book that will foster a child's love of reading, Raymond said. I have a fight to turn off the lights and get him to sleep when he's started a MAC B spy kid book and he doesn't want to put it down! This coming from a young man who loves math and thought he couldn't read well and just didn't like reading in general, Raymond said. I highly recommend this entire series to one and all! The second one will be available June 5. Mac Barnett is a superb writer and I recommend this to one and all.
