An excellent resource

I have purchased many books for my boys, and this one is my favorite. Simple lessons help my boys form the letter naturally. They will have to write in cursive for the first time next year. I have been surprised at how quickly the book is coming together for them after they have been learning it for about two weeks. As a bonus, they enjoy it.

Great for homeschool

This is a nice introduction to the book. As cursive is no longer taught in most public schools, this will be useful in teaching my child at home. The child can write a whole word on their own if they are taught how to do each letter separately and then link them together. I'd recommend it.

Great book for improving skills

A great book for beginners. My daughter was lucky to get to 3rd grade before Common Core took writing skills out of the classroom. This book is helpful in helping her practice.

Great for learning!
Derived From Web , Dec 15, 2021
It's great for someone who wants to start learning cursive. It's a good start and it's given my 7 year old confidence to continue to learn cursive and he's so proud of himself, but some letters aren't exactly as I learned them. Some pages have been photocopied to make them better for practicing. I would recommend it.

Not what we expected
Derived From Web , Apr 16, 2021
I thought we were going to love this. The book doesn't teach them how to write in cursive. My child was writing the letter completely wrong and I didn't notice. He doesn't have the strokes for the letters in this book, so it's ok if you already know how to write them.

My children now attend the public school system. I purchased this book because it is important to me that my children remain challenged even though they are not at school full time. cursive writing is not taught in school. It is a great book. It is highly recommend.

Good practice but...
Derived From Web , Aug 13, 2020
This is a good book to practice in, but I prefer the order of the alphabet. Capital a, capital b, and so on. The blends in this book make the student feel overwhelmed at times. We will continue to use this as a practice, but I will print out some easy alphabet pages online for beginners.

curriculum not just a work book
Derived From Web , Apr 29, 2020
I got a couple books on Amazon and this one is the prize. I pair it with others for reinforcement because it isn't a lot of content, but I love the organization of it. It is like a curriculum laying out a logical progression of concepts, instead of just alphabetical order. Each page has transitions and words that use letters introduced so far. If you want to teach cursive at home, you should include this book.
