I bought this book for my pre-k students. It was a big hit because they love dragons and rhyming stories. I will definitely be ordering more after this first series.

Printing defect or poor quality control
Derived From Web , Dec 1, 2020
I originally ordered this book to help my 5 year old calm down when she's angry like a volcano. The middle section of the story was replaced with a calendar for the Denver Broncos. Not sure what to say about that. The first book will be returned and the replacement will be fine. She's not a fan of the Broncos and missing the middle of the story isn't a helpful anger management technique.

Missing the beginning
Derived From Web , Jul 8, 2020
The item is being replaced right away by Amazon. It was missing the first 15 pages of the book. I opened it and found it to be poorly written and a weird way to start. I found out that I was missing the beginning of the book when I went to watch it.

Burns things down
Derived From Web , Dec 20, 2018
We don't need new ideas for our son to follow, because we are working on angry behaviors with him. I suppose it's appropriate for a dragon to burn things down, but it's not a new idea we want to put in his head.

I don’t understand the good reviews
Derived From Web , Oct 2, 2018
We did not like this book. The only tip it gives is to count to 10, and it talks too much about instances where the dragon is acting badly. That is it. I was looking for something that would teach a child how to process anger in a healthy way.

Great family story!
Derived From Web , Aug 16, 2018
My 4 and 2 year olds love this book and we have a lot of fun with it. My 4 yo struggles with big emotions and a speech delay that adds to his frustration when trying to express himself. The book helps him channel his feelings so that he feels understood and it also helps him release some of the big feelings he can't always express. He is learning and growing in his communication and emotional management and it's positive impact on my family!

His rage has become triggered so easily and gets so destructive
Derived From Web , Jul 17, 2018
There is no way to know how much our youngest needs. I bet you have never seen so much mental illness and behavioral challenges in a human. His rage gets so destructive that it is easy to get triggered. He likes this book. It allows us to talk about anger without him feeling threatened or worthless. Playing with a stuffed dragon has made a wonderful way to role-play the skills in the story. We need the money to get more of this series.

Perfect for young kids with trouble controlling their anger
Derived From Web , Mar 5, 2018
I was searching for children's books about anger geared at young kids when I stumbled upon this book. The book was what I was looking for. I have a 5-year-old son who has trouble controlling his anger, so the concept of treating it like a dragon that needs training and helpful tips is very helpful. The drawings were wonderful and the simple rhyming story was great.
