Kids who love video games will love this second installment in the new 5-book series about 12-year old Jesse Rigsby and the wild adventures he encounters getting sucked into different video games.

After Full Blast, Jesse Rigsby and his friend Eric has sworn off video games. But when Jesse is offered the chance to save his friend Mark, of course he says, Yes. Problem is, Jesse is invisible now, sucked into the world of Go Wild A Pokemon Go-style mobile game. To reach Mark, Jesse's going to have to shake the Bigfoot chasing him through the school library, survive the velociraptor in the bathroom, and battle the ginormous flame-throwing bat in the cafeteria. Can Jesse stay alive long enough to solve the mystery of what happened to Mark?

My 5th grader enjoys these books!
We have a hard time getting our son to love reading, so when I found these books with a video game theme, I thought there might be some hope, she said. He's enjoying them more than anything else he has read, so I consider this a win!

   Wow
It was my 7th birthday and I wanted to give him something to eat. The first book was slow going, but he blew through the second book, and just got the third book two days ago, he said. He is now testing at 2 grade levels above the average.

It’s sort’ve like Tron but for kids!
PG-13 rated movies for young gamers. Currently reading book 2 of the series with my 4th grader. There are some challenging words, but overall its a quick read, Unabridged said. There are three books left to read: The first is a collection of short stories by Alfred Hitchcock, the second is a collection of pictures by Claude Malvo. In addition, the author includes free activities for children that teach them about how video games are created.

My 8 year old loves this
We were really struggling to find something that my 8 year old son would like. He kept telling us all our favorites weren't working and he kept telling us he hates reading. But he is reading the series everyday and actually laughing and sharing about it with his grandparents. After 30 minutes of reading aloud, his reading has improved. The third book, "The Fall," will be released in July.

   Disappointed
Packaging was undamaged, so I was shocked and disappointed upon opening the book that the cover had cracked and the spine was scratched. The edge of the pages was stained yellow, creating a spiral-bound book. Thanks to BitDefender, I was able to separate the pages without ripping them apart. No extreme damage was done to the car, but disappointment nonetheless as this was a Christmas present.

   Great Book
Bought this book for my son who hates reading so much that finding something he likes seems to be almost impossible at times. My son has read all three volumes of the Harry Potter series by video game. Everyday when i get home from work he explain the story and wants me to buy more.

   Son loves these
My son absolutely loves them, and I think Perseus would be thrilled. I haven't read them all the way through but I don't understand why other parents trash talk the writing. 0 2171201 This kid is so desperate, I haven't read them all the way through but I don't understand why other parents trash talk the writing. They call it, "the N-word." It's cheesy and simple, but that's what my kiddo likes. He laughs a lot when he reads them, and that in itself makes them worth the buy.

   Good for reluctant reader
Wish I could have 4.5 stars. It's still a good read for a reluctant reader who likes video games and books with male leading characters. The price was great at only $1 more than the softcover, so why not upgrade?

7 year old and his dad both love it!!
We read about 2 chapters each night before bed, and we loved it. His favorite line is in chapter 4, when he says, "so I was basically laughed from frozen!" He fell off the bed! There aren't many books that are as funny as this one for a kid while also being enjoyable to read as the adult. We're on to book 3!

   So glad I bought these!
My son absolutely LOVES the books. He's a great reader, too, said Dr. Goin. He's had a couple of books finished, but I'm not sure when they will be back. He reads about 34 chapters in 20 minutes, so he has finished each book in just a couple sittings, but he has reread parts of it. I recommend this book to all my friends.
