Book Overview

From Colleen Hoover, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Ends with Us, a heart-wrenching love story that proves attraction at first sight can be messy.

When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn't even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn't want love, she doesn't have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.
Don't expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can't handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

   Absolutely Zero Depth
I was excited to try this book, but within 20 pages I was already disappointed. The rhetoric of a woman saving a broken boy who claims he can never love again because of his past is boring. The characters have no depth to them, Tate comes off as boring as Bella Swan and Miles's whole persona is just being mentally abusive and noncommittal which isn't personality traits. Their ages in the book are not believable at all. The book is predictable and lacks substance. Girls in their early 20s who live out their bad boy fantasies through books have a soft porno.

The book had a young man named Miles saying the name Tate a billion times and banging Tate a billion times in a cockpit.

   Not worth the read.
The basics are listed. Teenagers shouldn't be having sex. They aren't mature enough to handle the consequences. 2. Sex and love are not the same thing. It can damage you emotionally. There are 3. After the traumatic event, Miles should have been in counseling. 4. This is not a romance novel. It's a novel of hurting people who think sex will make them happy. 5. It was a very disappointing read. I wouldn't recommend it to someone.

   Disappointing
The book sent a bad message. The story is about a woman in her 20s who agrees to have sex with a pilot in his 20s. He won't look at her after they have sex. She has to leave the apartment. Tate feels hurt more and more by this. She wants some expression of love. Until she sees him again, she starts to rebel about the relationship. She turns to water. The ship is cutting through the water while the wake follows him. She feels bad about her weakness. It's the story of a young woman with no self-confidence or self-respect who jumps in bed whenever Miles wants her. We learn why Miles is who he is. We are supposed to believe that he has a sudden realization, resolves his teen misery, and opens up to Tate. She accepted him back. The writing is decent.
